Romans 11:25-29 NKJV

For I do not desire, bretheren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fulness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written;

"The deliverer will come out of Zion, And HE will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;

For this is MY covenant with them. When I take away their sins."

Concerning the Gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers.

For the gifts of GOD are irrevocable.

Hi Kross.

I'm kinda new to this idea, as I never heard about it growing up or at any churches I've attended - Can you maybe expand on it or something? :taped:

Everyone here seems to know so much about Israel and the significance in the end times apart from me!

Sorry!

The Bible Is Plumb Chock Full Of The LORD's Faithfulness Toward Israel

Such As

"And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the LORD Will be delivered; For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem There will be those who escape, As the LORD has said, Even among the survivors whom the LORD calls.

Joel 2:32 (NASB)

And.......

Behold, the LORD has proclaimed to the end of the world, Say you to the daughter of Zion, Behold, your salvation comes; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and you shall be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

Isaiah 62:11-12 (AKJV)

And..........

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;

All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.

Zechariah 12:9-14 (KJV)

And..................

Give this out among the nations; make ready for war: get the strong men awake; let all the men of war come near, let them come up.

Get your plough-blades hammered into swords, and your vine-knives into spears: let the feeble say, I am strong.

Come quickly, all you nations round about, and get yourselves together there: make your strong ones come down, O Lord.

Let the nations be awake, and come to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there I will be seated as judge of all the nations round about.

Put in the blade, for the grain is ready: come, get you down, for the wine-crusher is full, the vessels are overflowing; for great is their evil-doing.

Masses on masses in the valley of decision! for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.

The sun and the moon have become dark, and the stars keep back their shining.

And the Lord will be thundering from Zion, and his voice will be sounding from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth will be shaking: but the Lord will be a breastplate for his people and a strong place for the children of Israel.

And you will be certain that I am the Lord your God, living in Zion, my holy mountain: and Jerusalem will be holy, and no strange person will ever again go through her.

And it will come about in that day that the mountains will be dropping sweet wine, and the hills will be flowing with milk, and all the streams of Judah will be flowing with water; and a fountain will come out from the house of the Lord, watering the valley of acacia-trees.

Egypt will be a waste and Edom a land of destruction, because of the evil done to the children of Judah, because they have let blood be drained out in their land without cause.

But Judah will be peopled for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.

And I will send punishment for their blood, for which punishment has not been sent, for the Lord is living in Zion.

Joel 3:9-21 (BBE)

And It Is With Joy We Read Of The Soon To Be Returning KING

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called faithful and true, and with justice doth he judge and fight.

And his eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many diadems, and he had a name written, which no man knoweth but himself.

And he was clothed with a garment sprinkled with blood; and his name is called, THE WORD OF GOD.

And the armies that are in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

And out of his mouth proceedeth a sharp two edged sword; that with it he may strike the nations.

And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God the Almighty.

And he hath on his garment, and on his thigh written: KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Revelation 19:11-16 (DRB)

And His Beloved Israel

Then he said to me: "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel.

They say, 'Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.'

Therefore prophesy and say to them: 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel.

Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them.

I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land.

Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord."'

Correct!

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Of The Remnant

And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

I still don't understand why people think that all of Israel will be saved though.... I thought salvation was only through Christ? For the Jew and then the Gentile.

There's that "until" word that pops up all over scripture:

"... For I say to you, You shall not see Me from now on until you say, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord." (Mat 23:39)

"... And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." (Luk 21:24)

"... And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers. But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began." (Act 3:17-21)

"... For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, lest you should be wise within yourselves; that blindness in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in." (Rom 11:25).

There's a Biblical type of this: Aside from a remnant (Joshua and Caleb), the entire generation that left Egypt perished in the wilderness through unbelief, unable to enter their promised land, bit only the next generation entered under the leadership of Joshua (Jesus).

Israel has been wandering in a kind of a spiritual wilderness in unbelief - but "the next generation" will enter:

"And so all Israel shall be saved; as it is written, "There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob. For this is My covenant with them, when I have taken away their sins."

Indeed as regards the gospel, they are enemies ("until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in) for your (the Gentiles') sakes. But as regards the election, they (Israel) are beloved for the fathers' sakes (God's covenant promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their descendants). For the free gifts (covenants of grace) and calling (eternal election of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their descendants) of God are without repentance. For as you (Gentiles) also then (in times past) disbelieved God, but now have been shown mercy through their disbelief, even so these (of Israel) also have not believed now, so that through your mercy (because of the mercy God showed you Gentiles) they may also obtain mercy." (Rom 11:26-31).

This is why you find that "until" word popping up all over the New Testament.

Ok thanks Lekh and Joe - So one day there are going to be no more Gentiles saved and is that when many Jews will be saved?

Sorry I am soooooo slow!! :anv20181:

No. The Lord won't return until all Israel turns to Him and calls upon Him for their salvation, and this will occur at the end of this age, and it won't occur before the full number of the Gentiles who are to be saved from God's wrath through faith in Jesus, have come into the Kingdom of Christ.

At the time of the return of Jesus, He returns with His resurrected saints to bring judgment upon the nations that have gathered against Jerusalem:

"... Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee." (Zec 14:3-5)

"... And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God." (Rev 19:13-15)

"... And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles." (Zec 14:16)

"... And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one." (Zec 14:9)

"... For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea." (Hab 2:14).

There will be two types of people in the millennial reign of Christ: Those saints who had been resurrected at the end of this age, and the naturally-born survivors ("everyone that is left") of "the Day of the LORD" + their naturally-born descendants. The resurrected saints will be reigning with Christ during the millennium.

True, it is exciting to know He's coming back. Lots of tragedy before He does because of man's rejection of the LORD and of His Christ before He comes back though, and that's the sad part.

Just remember that although there are many Christians who understand the prophecies the same way I do, there are also many who understand things differently, and they will give you a different explanation (and that might confuse you).

The best is to check the scriptures out in the Bible yourself and also pray to God and ask Him to give you discernment and understanding wherever there is discrepancy between what various groups of Christians teach regarding prophecy. Don't take my word or anyone else's word for it - God gave His book to YOU personally.

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
