And mocking someone's university credentials is low.

There is no credential to mock.

I GAVE you transitional forms between tikaalik and land animals. Acanthostega and ichthyostega. I'm starting to think that nothing is good enough for you and even if someone could give you irrefutable evidence to evolution you would simply say that it isnt. What authority does this come from?? Ive said I dont know how many times that proof of evolution comes from its ability to explain natural phenomena better than christianity and I've racked my brain for every natural even that can only be explained by evolution, but you still say that it's not good enough. You can't test evolution the same way you test things like what a lion likes to eat. But the predictions made by evolutionists (which I've stated before) have all been correct. It seems to me that I'm the more logical one here, as I'm piling on the evidence and not 100% ruling out the ridiculous claim that life was created instead of simply saying "no, try again" like you are. I do not operate under the unneccesary assumption that there is a supernatural force behind everything. There, in my opinion, is no need for a god to exist. And if you're so confident that biological science is a sham, then I want to see irrefutable proof of creationism. Prove to me that every single organism on the planet (even the ones that came before the "creation") were indeed created. And I don't want to hear biblical quotes or cheap excuses like that. How does the bible back up what t claims?

And to answer you're question, I believe christianity and jesus to have some positive messages (loving other people, peaceful cohabitation, ect.) but for the most part I see the testaments as ancient mythology that was written before the mere invention of science and that encourage blind faith, complete devotion, brutish tribalism, racism, homophobia, sexism, genocide and infanticide. You cannot argue that quotes like these run rampant in the bible. Christianity also, being a younger religion much like islam, suffers from delusions of grandeur. That everyone who is not apart of it is lowly and unhappy and cannot be complete without it in their lives, and so it forces itself into governments and classrooms and judicial halls claiming higher morality as it fights not to lose its controlling stranglehold on people. As far as jesus goes, I personally do not think that, if there was a 'jesus' that claimed he was the son of god (and he wasn't the only one. Not by a long shot. One of the things monty python got right in 'the life of brian'), he really was that. Yes, he had some good sayings, but he also encouraged his subjects to abandon their families, friends and belongings and blindly and obediently follow him. He also was the first person in the bible to mention hell. It was kind old jesus that told us that if we didn't behave, the god who 'loves' us will punish us even after death forever. I'm also unclear with his relationship with god. He claims to be god's son but also god at the same time. Contradictory much? If he is only the son of god (and it's never been explained how god got a virgin pregnant, something only mentioned in 2/4ths of the gospels), then christianity is not a monotheism. Jesus also comes off as sexist to me, as he, reflecting the old hatred and fear religion has of the female reproductive system, treats that system as a one-way street. Sexual repression is oppressive, unnatural and dangerous. Thats why many priests who are supposedly men of god have a nasty habit of abusing and molesting small children. Christianity is notoriously violent and abusive towards children, from youth indoctrination to the increasingly popular 'hell-houses' to circumcision to telling small children that their friends of a different religion, even a different sect of christianity, are going to hell forever. Indeed, the threat of hellfire has always been a useful way to scare children into behaving, but it takes a special kind of monster to torture and frighten defenseless youngsters. I dont care who's religious beliefs they are, I do not find harming a child acceptable in any way, shape or form. The callousness of religion towards the female genitalia (ever heard of female circumcision? You dont want to) reflects the misunderstanding and fear the men who wrote the bible had of anything that was different from themselves. Jesus also seems to be rather rude to his mother at times, and didn't he trash a merchant area in a temple? So much for forgiving.

Well, did you get ALL of your Christian bashing out that time or is there more? If we are so appalling to you .... what the heck are you doing here? I'm going to pray for your redemption and then I'm going to hope that you're banned from this forum because you're disgusting, ignorant and completely blind.

Did I say that Darwins predictions were right? No.

Do you admit he was wrong - big time?

Microbes did not turn into men. You're mislead and have no clue how evolution works.

But you are the one without your boasted "proofs" - what happened to them?

Just because you say my proofs are not viable doesnt make it so.

No - the facts make it so. You have failed to present your case and are now reduced to attacking the Christian faith. This is the way it always ends with hacks.

And how exactly can you prove jesus was was resurrected? Or that he did ANY of the things he claimed to do.

The historical record and fulfilled prophecy provide the evidence required.

No I don't base my philosophy on python, I didn't say I did..

Yes - you appear to be the Monty Python type - shallow and illogical.

I DID admit he was wrong. Go look it up.

I've given you the proof, dont make me say it again.

YOU asked ME my thoughts on christianity and I answered. Its not my fault if you didnt like what you heard.

And what historical evidence do you have? This is infinitely more feeble than the weakest evidence I have given.

And here I thought jesus frowned upon personal insults. Not even me, the atheist, has stooped that low.

Why is it that personal insults have to permeate these threads and render them worthless?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
