Thanks everyone for your kind replies. I don't think the fact that it is only 20 lbs matters, what matters is that I am a lazy glutton . Please don't make me feel good about that.

For ella and crazy... start a post, edit it each day with your B/L/D. I'm watching you eat that candy :whistling:.

Andy.... you are not lazy nor a glutton. You are a new mother to an active little person who is interested more and more in her world and surroundings... you are also trying to do several home improvement projects and that in and of itself is enough to tire someone who is getting 8 hours of sleep a night - which I'm quite sure you are not. Now.... get yourself on some good vitamins and get some walking in .... be good to yourself !!!!! :whistling:

Andy can I just use this thread?? I'm too scared to start my own one hehe!! :whistling:

Yay I am so excited that we both remembered today! I hope Crazy did too.

My goals are:

#1 Eat at meal times, at least 2 hours apart (not just eating everything all the time)

#2 No chocolate and icecream for at least 3 days!!! :) (I need the self-control)

#3 Give praise for my food everytime it is about to go into my mouth. (oops that should be number 1)

Wow these are hard goals but I've written them down now so I have to do them!!

Andy I really like your goals!

I'm with ya

:whistling:

Challenge #1

Don't have a third dinner tonight, LOL.

Challenge #2

Eat a healthy breakfast tomorrow.

Challenge #3

Don't buy something yummy for a "treat" when I go shopping tomorrow.

By this time tomorrow night I'm going to be a bit frantic for sugar :) . I think the challenge for me is to put effort into cooking my own food for every meal, I'm so lazy .

Dear God, convict us of our socially acceptable sin :taped:. Speak to our hearts and renew our spirit and mind and align us with your ways. May our diet and lifestyle honour You. Help us with our sloth and gluttony. Amen.

Hey Andy just watch when you are cooking every meal not to eat it while you're cooking it... That's what I do and when I've finished cooking it there's never much left!!

Typical... Just about to start exercising then I managed to burn my foot yesterday with second degree burns, whoops!

The best diet is this one.

1. Exercise at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes.. could be Monday Wednesday Friday

2. Cut your carb intake by half and replace it with vegitables. The carbs you eat must be whole grain.

I saw a dramatic change in my body after I did this. 26% to 13% body fat in about 3 months/

But you're a MAN; it doesn't work quite that way for women. We have to cut carbs way lower although the exercise is good for all. Now that I've said that; congrats on your shape up regimen, Blien. :)

Good for you Andy :noidea: *whispers- I weigh 200lbs O.O* Yep... I need to lose some too  I should be around 170-ish I'm rather tall (6ft), and the weight-gene kinda runs in the family. I'm not overweight too much. It is a matter of 30lbs..., so I am hoping to start to eat fresher veggies, and less junk food. I love Fruit, so I'm gonna see about getting some fresh fruit and making fruit salads and such. You can make a smoothie out of Bananas, strawberries, kiwi, and ice :24: Don't add sugar. I posted a cheesecake recipe that is low-fat and low cal, if ya'll want it.

Plan for tomorrow: B: Honey crunch n oats, with whole milk (tastes better than the watered down stuff) L, Pineapple, D.something not fatty lol Gonna ride my bike 1 mile or so, and try to boost the distance each day

Soooo, I'm gonna count calories and try to keep them low. I'm an impulsive eater >.< Glad that there are several on here that are in the same boat ;):emot-handshake:

Btw, a tip for ya'll. Chocolate is good in SMALL doses. so you can have a little piece a day. it won't hurt. It will actually help by reducing "cravings" if you let yourself have a bit. You are in the store, and want to buy some choco impulsivly, and you remember, you have some waiting for you at home :) Let Chocolate be a reward, not a teaser.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
