Do Members Here Believe In Spiritual Warfare?

I am wondering what if you's believe in taking authority over the powers of darkness in the Name of Jesus and binding the enemy in Jesus Name? Many christians think because they have Jesus, they don't need to recognize the enemy.

I totally believe in that...I routinely order anything unholy out of my house in the name of Jesus. His name is the ONLY thing they can't stand.

I take Ephesians 6 literally.

" 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, . . . ."

The battle with Satan and his demons will not end until they are thrown into the Lake of Fire.

I have been sorely tempted to do the same with those callers from collection agencies!!! Everyone needs to know who their enemy is and how to deal with them.

I believe also that not only is it Biblical to take authority over demonic forces in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, but it is a command.

Now there's an idea - when you get an unwanted phone call (as long as it's a live person) - start talking to them about Jesus!

Yes!! I do believe. Isn't that just like God, to not only allow His Son to deliver us, from (Satan) the slave master of bondage and darkness , but when that old devil and his followers come, He has given us the weapon through His word and through His Son Jesus name to cast them out!

But saying His Name will not work if you do not have faith, and sometimes with that faith, you must pray and fast.

In Matthew 17:19-21, the disciples come and ask why they could not cast the demon out..Jesus replied because of your unbelief, for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.

Faith that appears small and weak to us can accomplish the humanly impossible. This mountain was a figure for an obstacle, hindrance, or humanly insurmountable problem-none of which is impossible for God to deal with through His Son Jesus name, and committed people (us) who accurately understand their

authority and know His power, will, purpose, and provision.......jotful

Very good sister Jot! The devil never takes a vacation, holidays or coffee break. We must be diligent against his devices! Yes, there is only one name with true power, Jesus Christ. Someone asked a friend how they knew was the true God, there were so many gods in the world. With tears running down her face, the friend said "because my God answers prayer!" So true.

I am always amazed that when I rebuke Satan out of something going on in my life, it is immediate, and the Lord gives me immediate comfort in the situation. We can always depend on God - for He is so faithful to do what he says He will do.

I'm glad that ya's believe in this. There are many christian message board forums that most members would mock, scoff and ridicule you for talking about spiritual warfare. Even though Jesus commanded us to cast out devils, and take authority over the powers of darkness, many churches scoff at spiritual warfare. They would even call it heresy. The devil never does take a vacation, and is constantly seeking whom he may devour(1st Peter5:8). He is always looking for weaknesses in people and depends on people to either be ignorant of his devices(2nd Corinthians2:11), or to not take him seriously.

There are 6 pieces in the armour of God. The first 5 are defensive weapons, the last(the swrod of the Sirit) is the offensive weapon. We are instructed to put on the "whole" armour of God in order to stand against the wiles of the devil. Satan is always looking for us to have our armour out of place.

If the church is not using the armour, and the authority that we have in Jesus Name, we will not be effective. Satan laughs at chistians who don't pick up their swords and fight.
