Evolution and Blood

"Platelets" play an important role in preventing the loss of blood by beginning a chain reaction that results in blood clotting. As blood begins to flow from a cut or scratch, platelets respond to help the blood clot and to stop the bleeding after a short time.

Platelets promote the clotting process by clumping together and forming a plug at the site of a wound and then releasing proteins called "clotting factors". These proteins start a series of chemical reactions that are extremely complicated. Every step of the clotting must go smoothly if a clot is to form. If one of the clotting factors is missing or defective, the clotting process does not work. A serious genetic disorder known as "hemophillia" results from a defect in one of the clotting factor genes. Because they lack one of the clotting factors, hemophillia sufferers may bleed uncontrollably from even small cuts or scrapes.

To form a blood clot there must be 12 specific individual reactions in our blood. If evolution is true, and this 12 step process didnt happen in the 1st generation (i.e., if any one of these specific reactions failed to operate in their exact reaction and order), no creatures would have survived.

If these links are stating that evolution does not start from scratch, I still dont understand what was going on before evolution would have taken over. It still looks like everyone is saying "Well we dont really know what happened but it could be this idea". Looks like it takes a giant leap of faith to accept this stuff.

One wonders what came first from an evolutionary standpoint: The blood, the veins, or the heart. Without all of them being there from the beginning, there would have been no point for any of them.

What I find amusing is that an evolutionist can take one aspect of the circulatory system and figure out its supposed evolutionary history.

But the whole system is a whole jumbled mess of complexities!

The concept that it makes sense to people that these complexities and interchanges and reliances upon each other could be "built" (evolving, increasing in complexity) step-by-step within viable organisms is just beyond me.

Although humor from any direction is often a good way to lighten moods, it becomes a distraction when threads start out with people antagonizing each other from the start.
