demonic spirits at friend's house

My friend, who is an atheist, claims that there are ghosts in her house. She believes that people from the dead can come back and haunt us. She said she has told these "ghosts" to be quiet and leave her alone. I told her that I didn't believe in dead people haunting but it is possible for demons to be in her house. That is correct, right?

The scariest part about my visit is that my 3 year old son was upstairs playing with her 3 year old son. Her son comes downstairs and then I hear my son scream like I've never heard him scream before. He came running down stairs screaming with horror and fear in his eyes and told me that he saw a ghost or a witch or something like that. I have never, ever, seen him that scared before. Do you think maybe if there are demons in this house they could have been ticked off that I (a believer) was there? Why would they try to scare my son like that?

I don't believe in ghosts or spirits of the dead, only demons of darkness, fallen angels. My grandaughter, Lauren, was about 12 when she was at home alone with her teenage sister. All doors were locked and dead locked. They have a larger boxer who is very protective of the children. The mother was at work. Suddenly Lauren screamed like something out of a horror movie. The sister came running. She had seen a horrible man in her doorway. The sister checked the locks, and the dog was silent. She called my daughter who came home checked out the house. Nothing. It was hours before Lauren calmed down and quit crying. They had to take her to the dr. to get a shot to calm her down. The dr. said she was in shock and had been traumatized. I told my daughter to pray with Lauren, for Jesus to cover her with his blood and annointing the house with oil. Lauren could not describe the man except to say he was very very ugly and horrible.

I hope your friend and her family gets saved. If you have a burden, keep praying.

You know about there being just demons I dont know if we can prove that. I was always taught that growing up that only demons are the spirits that roam the earth. I dont know if that is altogether true. I have know prove for or against I am saying there could be a possiblity of other forms of spirits or past human spirits that are on earth. King saul summoned the spirit of sammuel and God commanded the jews not to summan spirits intentionally. Maybe there is a reason for this. Of course we say that it was a demon that Saul summuned but the bible does not say that.

Ok, ask her this. if she thinks they are displaced souls, where does she think they were displaced from? Where does she think all the souls who have not been "displaced" are? What does she think happens to one's soul after one is dead? Thats a start, and may get her thinking.

Then just pray for her, you can't save her, we all know that, only Jesus can. But pray to Him that He saves her, that the "control" she lives by is broken, for control is almost always another word for pride (ask me I know, Jesus upped and whacked me on the side of the head...a few times ....before I understood that what was standing in my way was pride )

Just pray, long and hard.....

We cannot go about assuming the possibility of other forms of spirit that are not in the Bible. If there is proof in scripture that humans come back to haunt other humans, you need to back it up with scripture.

Then ask God to reveal to this lady the nature of these spirits. It's not mean to ask for such a thing. It will cause her to belive in you and JESUS.

Yeah I bet she did not. In fact many Christians incorrectly believe in ghosts and souls of dead people haungint the earth. However if she believes in a soul she is not an athiest which is a good thing.

They do exist but we are do not know really what they are. We have different names for them. Small children are sineless and therefore have the capability to see these spirits. There is only prayer and belief in God the only defence. You should not take your son to your friends house. As others have posted, it could be the way for them to see God. It took my wife 24 years to make me see. Be patient and pray.

right. small children are NOT sinless. furthermore, the reason small children can see things like this is because they have not yet been brainwashed into believing it's just fantasy and that such things don't exist. many adults are perfectly capable of seeing or sensing demonic spirits just as many children are.

or'el, whatever you do, do NOT take your son into that environment again. period. ever. he is young and defenseless.
