Thanks Blien. I really didn't know what to think at the time. Like I said nothing like this has ever happened. I always thought it was fake (the whole tingling thing). I know it's real but I question who it's from now. From now on I will do as you say and ask the demonic spirits to leave. I hope God isn't mad at me. I just sort of went with the flow and did it. They kind of put me on the spot.

One thing about feelings, they can come for many reasons. When God does touch you, you will feel Him move in your life in different ways. Yet, you can get tingling feelings for many other reasons, even anxiety. I do not doubt that we all feel different as God moves in our lives, but to me, there has to be evidence other them feelings. I would be slow at assigning any feeling to anything. They usually are a result of something else.

By the way, praying in tongues... I'm not entirely sure it's from God. They told me, essentially to just make up the words as I go! How stupid!

As if GOD needed anyone to speak in a different language for Him to understand us. How absurd!

Brother, do you discard His gifts then?

I discard no gift.. but I just copied what another man was saying because they wouldn't stop praying over me, after 30 minutes and not seeing any results. I really wanted to leave and they wouldn't stop.

I never had the gift in the first place, I just asked them if they could pray I receive it. And so, this is what happened.

Sorry .. I thought you were speaking for yourself. There are many fake tongues, as you gave evidence of, but when you hear the real thing, it is so beautiful and flows as a language should. Paul tells us to seek the best gifts, where tongues is the least of them all.

Onelight, try praying for God to protect you from familiars and see what happens when people pray for you. I bet you these feelings will disappear. I've done this twice, and I can't shake the feeling that this is not from God. I could be wrong, but give it a shot and let me know.

God already protects me from such. I guess I am not as sensitive to the spirit world as you are. I know when I feel Him moving in me, and that is good enough for me. By testing the spirits, one knows the difference. I don't believe that we will ever be rid of Satan and his minions while living in this body.

Satan is the great counterfeiter, not the L-rd!

Moses threw down his staff and it turned into a serpent....the Egyptian magicians did the same.

The prophets of G-d spoke as they were inspired...the false prophets did the same.

Sometimes there is an over-emphasis on the gift of speaking in tongues, but many of those who pray for others to receive this gift, do so out of sincerely wanting to see them blessed and encouraged in their walk with G-d...even if they go about it the wrong way occasionally.

Over the last twenty years, Christian bodies of Believers have subjected themselves to some strange phenomena, much of it unwise and fleshly, with a portion of it bordering on gross deception...by and large it has been unhelpful, disruptive and divisional, and is no substitute for a faithful walk with G-d.

It is right to be on the lookout for the Deceiver...but to constantly be worried about putting a foot wrong will stifle ones faith, and in a sense by the very nature of that 'fear/worry' you will be deceived and robbed.

Be anxious about......

Be led by the.....

Our focus should be on the L-rd, not constantly on the enemy of our souls.

Don't ... Satan wants to steal your joy from the Lord. He does this by reminding us of our past. When this happens, remind him of his future.

When we come to the Lord and ask Him to forgive us of our past, He not only forgives, but forgets. What a blessed Lord, a love that we can not comprehend. Allow Him to give you peace and do not think of your past, it is dead to Him, and He and His ways are all that matters. When you find yourself rummaging through the past, remember that you do not have to entertain these thoughts. Refuse to think of them, and instead, follow this advice.

Don't feel that way, I know exactly what you are going through. As other posters said, Satan is the great counterfeit and he always trys to mimic God to deceive people.

The only point I wanted to make clear is to be careful with who lays their hands on you.. but a way to overcome this is to pray before hand. Yes God is always watching over us and protecting us. I don't belive that he would have let those people pray over you if nothing good was going to come out of it. Perhaps it was Him who was touching you. That's only something you can figure out by asking the Holy Spirit.

I've seen many good things happen at the church where I had my experiences. But I also so many fleshy, evil things too.. Just be on the watch. Test every spirit as it says in 1 John4.. When it says spirit, it's not just talking about spirits but the church leaders.

But then, why do church leaders today allow anyone to lay hands on each other? Isn't God powerful enough to do it by Himself (without a fleshy body) or does He need someone to pass some spiritual blessing? Those who practice kundalini yoga and other pagan religions need to touch someone, that's why I personally refuse such a thing.

When I was born again and received the Holy Spirit, no one layed hands on me because I asked God to do it, not the pastor who was asking me to turn my life to the Lord. And He [God] did.. I saw God in the Spirit, behind me place HIS Holy hands on me, and I received the Holy Spirit that way. Anyway, be brave, I will be praying for you. Nothing evil will come upon you!
