Here is a question of late that is circling around my coworkers. If you knew you had one last day on this earth, or you knew someone else was going to have their last day on earth, what would you do? How would it change those 24 hours for you?.......

This hits home since I have found out 3 people in the last week who have been given the 'any day now' diagnosis.....

Since I'm a christian I would spend my last day(s) first making sure I had my will and testamony complete. I would pray to God to give the best day of life so that others will be able say wow! what a man I want to be just like ray because he lived a life for God. I would not spend the whole day writing my will because I would want to make sure my funeral would be a the biggest celebration ever. IF it were my last dying day I would make sure I got a second opinion. Cause if I can't enjoy the last of my life no one else will have the oppurtunity to spend the last of my wealth which ain't much anyway.

However, IF, BIG IF, IF I where not a believer in The Lord. First I would not be wrting on this chat board. I would be out breaking everyone or almost all of the 10 comandments. But since I'm a chrsitian now I want have to worry about this last statement because its if and only if and I am not.

I'd get up in the morning and have a really good breakfast.

I'd spend the morning in a quiet place talking with God, and make sure I had my things in order.

I'd have a really good lunch and spend the afternoon with my family making sure they had there things together and say goodby.

My wife and I would have a really good dinner.

We'd spend the evening together and I make sure she had all her things together.

We'd go to Braums and have some really good icecream and come home and do those things that married people do

Then I'd talk to God for a little while then go to sleep and go home.

I have been trying to imagine what I wold do, I would want to spend time with my husband and sister. The two people who mean the most to me. I would ask God to help them and keep them close to him.

Truthfully I can't imagine it. Though heaven is amazing I hear, I can't imagine being away from my husband, though I would love to be with the Lord, I get sad thinking I would have to leave my husband. I know he would be crushed and I would never want that for him. So scary to think about that. I am glad God's timing is perfect and I have nothing to do with it. I would rather not know! I am sure God would use that day to His glory anyway, my life is not my own.

I would do as I always do everyday...I would cover myself with the blood of Jesus and ask for forgiveness for anything that I have allowed to sneak in....

I would then prepare my children and explain to them that if they come to the the Lord and dedicate their lives to Him that we will be reunited in heaven and express to them how much they mean to me and express my love by holding them in my arms ...

Then, I would spead time with my husband telling him how much I love him and how confident I am in him as the spiritual head of out home and children...

I would gather us all together and spead the entire time together laughing and praying together.. that God would comfort them and give them peace over my absense...

At bedtime I would put the children to bed and spend time with my husband and fall asleep praying to my Lord as He reaches out His arms to welcome me home...

I guess I would wake early, drive to my favorite park and watch the sun rise. I would sing with the birds that morning Praises to God. I would pray and seek him, to ready my heart and spirit.

Then I would go home and eat breakfast with my parents. I am not sure how many times we have ever had breakfast together. Not many. It is the meal most skipped in our home. I would tell them I loved them and how much they have been an inspiration to me.

From there I would go to see my closest friends. Thanking and hugging them each for all they have done for me, as mentors, friends, role models, teachers, just everything!! I would then go and see my pastor and thank him for his wonderful leadership and model he has provided nearly all my life. And to press into all that God has for him and where he wants to take our church as a body.

By mid afternoon I would be hungry so I would get lunch, on the way to downtown Vancouver. I would stop somewhere and purchase some blankets etc and go down to the section where all the addicts are. A Four block radius with the highest concentration of addicts and HIV infected people per block in North America I think are the stats. I would find homeless men or women and sit and talk with them. Give them a blanket, buy them something to eat or drink, and just be with them. I would hug them too. Many of them have never been hugged in many many years. Nobody likes to touch the untouchable in society. I would stay there until just before sunset.

Then I would head out to the park nearby and watch the sun set over the water. I would sing and pray the whole way home. Once home again, I would sit down and have supper with mom and dad. And once we finished that, have communion with them. Give them one final hug and kiss goodnight. I would let mom tuck me in, and read to me the story of Paddington Bear, one she used to read when I was a young girl - about 8 years old, and always before I would go to bed.

Then, I would go home to my father in Heaven.

You all paint such beautiful pictures. One day doesn't seem enough to do all that I would want to do so.............. I should start now as if I didn't have tomorrow. (hmmm what a thought, lol)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
