i'm certainly not saying the Word of God is shallow. i'm saying that how you see God's plan is shallow.

perhaps you could give an explaination of why the verse you chose to quote answers the question?

I'm not so sure that sin - a spiritual condition - is passed down via the physical encoding.

then why didn't Jesus have an earthly father?

Because He is the Son of God.

Considering that the Lord created a male child (Y chromosome needed) out of a female ova (no Y chromosome to pass down), it stands to reason that God becoming man through the normal union of man and woman may have created a double-Y chromosome individual.

Just my guess. None of us know the mechanics on how the Lord did this.

But I fail to see how He could be truly called the Son of God if He had an earthly father.

Perhaps you could show us the whole picture?

Just a thought.

Her question is to argue that sin passes down through the DNA of the father.

This was in response to my statement arguing against this claim.

this all got started because i said Jesus had mary's DNA.

Where does the Word of God stand as far as DNA is concerned?

please read what i have written!

did i question whether or not Jesus had an earthly father? if so, please tell me where i did.

this all got started because i said Jesus had mary's DNA. people take a phrase and run with it!!! why bother whether it's true or not?

I was answering your question: "then why didn't Jesus have an earthly father?"

My answer is that if He had had an earthly father, He couldn't be the Son of God.

I never thought you had questioned his not having an earthly father.

I am puzzled that you read that from my response. :emot-pray:

The Bible tells us God is a Spirit. God came to earth in the form of Jesus Christ, who is a male. Jesus stated that if you have seen him, you have seen the Father. The only time God appeared in human form, he came as a man. Now you can add the question of whether or not God came in the form of Melchisadeck, but that was also a male. When Moses saw God's hinder parts, we have no clear picture of gender, but we do have a pretty good idea God has what appears to be a human form, and he is refered to as Father. There is not a single instance where God is ever revealed to us as female, and the simplest way to answer this question is to ask whether or not you believe Jesus is God? If Jesus is God, then God is male.

You go Butero. Anybody who does not believe that God is a male does not believe in what the word of God says. So what is the word in the bible used to speak of someone who refuses to abide by what the bible says about all that is God? The word is ANTICHRIST.

If it quacks like a duck----------- ?

God is not a male.

Is Jesus God Charitow? If he is, he is male.

God is spirit. do you not believe this? the Bible says it is so. God does not have male reproductive organs. i.e. God is not male.

The Bible also makes it clear that Jesus is God. Remember, "Before Abraham was, I am." Jesus has male reproductive organs. He was circumcized. I don't see how this is even debatable? ;):emot-hug:

ok. i have tried to refrain from saying this, but i'm going to. God does not have a penis, like you do. God is no more like you than He is like me. if God is physically like you, then what has He to do with me? He does't.

Yes, that is true if you are referring to God the Father, but God the Son has a physical, male body. He is still 100% man and 100% God. That cannot be factored out of this issue.

God is male and reveals Himself in those terms. Jesus is a man and must remain a man.

hmm. not sure i agree that Jesus did not have Mary's DNA. God works with His natural world, and in the natural world, we get DNA from both father and mother. Jesus was "conceived".... meaning God did not forego that natural process. why could He have not had an earthly father? i believe it was because sin is passed down from the male's DNA. God could have just made Jesus--without either earthly father or mother--if He had chosen to do so. but instead, He went with His own natural order of things. Jesus was not only God, He was fully man. how could He be fully man without having mary's DNA?

Adam had no mother or father's DNA as God created him. He had his own DNA. Jesus made himself into a man, the second ADAM. Sin is passed down from male or female DNA, where did you get that notion????? Eve sinned remember, her DNA is tainted. God allowed Jesus to form inside Mary's form as a man child, like a new "creation", the second Adam. This is what I believe.

Be Blessed Beloved Daughter Of The KING

Then saith he to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
