A federal judge ruled schools can expel students, like Julea Ward, who believe homosexuality is morally wrong. Ward's lawsuit against Eastern Michigan University was dismissed.

A federal judge has ruled in favor of a public university that removed a Christian student from its graduate program in school counseling over her belief that homosexuality is morally wrong. Monday's ruling, according to Julea Ward's attorneys, could result in Christian students across the country being expelled from public university for similar views.

Those who allow themselves to be persecuted are.....persecuted. Christians are going to have to learn to play by the same rules as those who THINK they are winning. Claim discrimination, list themselves as minorities, apply for 'diversity' status in everything (jobs, housing, federal aid), sue for anything and everything (wear those ambulance chasing lawyers to the bone!), go on every t.v. and radio talk show that will have them, picket, protest and have sit-ins. Practice civil disobedience and then claim discrimination when they're arrested; get very beautiful minority celebrities to speak out for them (many, many black and Hispanic Americans are Christians after all!).....I could go on all day because it's already been done, ad nauseum, by the secular crowd. Think it won't work? Then consider the NAACP, Lulac, Cair, and that gay-rights group whose name escapes me, AARP and many others. Or.....we can sit around and whine for the next fifty years.

Well, the idea that a Christian thinks they need to go to college in order to be an effective counselor is pretty off-base to begin with. Not to mention that some churches nowadays require their counselors to have degrees. People who want to go college to become couselors, but don't want to counsel people who have serious sexual deviancy issues is kinda strange to begin with. It would be like going to school to become a psychiatrist and refusing to treat the mentally ill. Anyone remember the big brouhaha in the UK when Muslim medical students didn't wanna wash their hands before doing medical proceedures because of their beliefs?

Amen sister. :emot-highfive: We're not to fight the way that the world does.

No one is whining.

Let's not forget folks that alot of these professions came forth from Christian Charity and our Faith. It was Christian Faith and Charity that spawned the whole Medical Field and it was Christain Faith and Charity that gave us the fields of higher learning.

Did you even read the article? :noidea:

She wasn't refusing to treat them she was refusing to treat them the way that that profession demands, as if there were othing wrong with it and it wasn't a sin.

peace,

2 Timothy 2

1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.

5 And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.

6 The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops.

7 Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.

Yes, Christians ARE whining when they moan about being silenced and prevented from expressing their beliefs. Fighting with everything you've got is the way to go. Be pacifist if that's what you believe in; I just don't see standing there watching the lions as they advance. I prefer to shoot them.

However, in this instance;

Mt 26:52

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again your sword into its place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

But, Dave....I don't even have a sword! :( (And what about those lions?) Does the Lord want us not to stand firm in His name? I get mixed messages on this whole thing.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
