Okay here is what I will do....I will take the days and perhaps weeks it will take to find you the quotes.

But, there is a condition. The condition is that you be fair. I want you to ask Other One to produce the quote he was talking about when he said that the Talmud calls for the beheading of Christians. So far, only once has he been asked to produce his evidence...and this is only because I brought it up. This is while I have been hounded.

I am no fool. I know that there is much animosity toward me because my views differ from most of yours on various topics. That is the reason Other One gets a pass and I don't. That says more about you guys than it does me.

No, KatyAnn, you are not a fool. And you're not alone in recognizing the animosity. I personally rejoice in it....means I'm pushing the right buttons and makes my day! :D Life is not a popularity contest.

This is really a rotten attitude. We are to desire and seek after unity and peace with the saints and with all men, as far as possible. Delighting in animosity between the saints stinks.

That's putting it mildly.

I'm sure y'all will get over it.

Well, excuse me, Candice, for exposing you to my rotten attitude. :24: By the way, you just proved my point. I did NOT say I delight in animosity between the saints. Slow down and read what's there, instead of what you think is there. I said I rejoice in the animosity towards ME. And I do. I let those who engage in that show their colors all they want. I reiterate; life is not a popularity contest.

Where does it say "towards me"? Why would you delight in animosity towards you? It still is not something to delight in. It means that there is division between the saints.

We are only told to delight when we are persecuted for His sake, not when the animosity is from the Saints.

Personally, I get a kick out of getting along with the saints, not when I perceive animosity between us. I love it when I can debate issues with people I love, disagree with them, and still know that we are in unity, with nothing but brotherly love towards one another.

In case you didn't know, sowing discord among the brethren is a sin.

Proverbs 6

16 These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:

17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood,

18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil,

19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.

I was talking about animosity towards me by those who don't approve of different opinions. You know like saying I have a rotten attitude? Yeah, that's REALLY trying to get along. :whistling:

I've been in quite afew actually. The difference is, I know when to walk away. I don't "push buttons" in order to get people mad at me. I don't "rejoice" in the knowledge that I caused someone to become angry with me. To me that's just not right. We should never rejoice in the anger of any individual. That behavior and attitude should not be a part of anyones walk. Our words are our witness.......not only to those around us, but to God.

No, it isn't but neither is it a mark of a person being 'right' because they are unpopular. I know a great many people who think this way and they do so in error. "Well everyone is disagreeing with me and thinks my behavior is poor, so I must be right." Not so much. That is circular logic. What is being said, and I have no problems saying it is that some people have a tendency to make up their own rules as they go along, but feel no necessity to follow those rules themselves. Double standards. They expect others to behave and act in ways which they feel no compunction to honor themselves. You seem to revel in discord because you have this false assumption that the discord means your right and is a result of being right. The discord is a result of your sometimes less-than-honest tactics and poor behavior. That is a poor way for a Christian to feel, that they must be doing something right because they are making enemies. As Christians, if we are speaking the truth, we will make enemies, but we are not to be rejoicing in that fact. Perhaps instead of being so sure you are right because people disagree with you, perhaps you should start examining your methodology.

Well, first...I am not unpopular and have many friends, thank you. And this sentence..."You seem to revel in discord because you have this false assumption that the discord means your right and is a result of being right. The discord is a result of your sometimes less-than-honest tactics and poor behavior. " is a strange way to address anyone, especially someone you don't know from Martha Washington.

And this: "Double standards. They expect others to behave and act in ways which they feel no compunction to honor themselves" You have absolutely no problem trying to slam someone else right after making that statement? Again, making my point. I always know from whom I will get the flaming darts; doesn't matter, I'm fireproof. And, btw, where did I say I KNOW I'm right because people disagree with me? I seem to have forgotten saying that......

To Neb,

1. Are you saying that Other One sent you his info of where the Talmud says that Christians should be beheaded?

In General,

Why wouldn't Other One post this for all to see? Everyone on the thread can see what he wrote previously. Why send his evidence in private messages? Other One stated he had read in the Talmud that Christians should be beheaded, yet numerous people want me to show evidence publicly of what I said, but Other is not expected to do the same? I have been hounded by numerous people to show what my evidence on here publicly. As I have said, I will do so when the expectations are the same for Other One.

That information can be Googled for anyone's who's interested.

Personally, I approve of this idea.......taking it to the enemy in an 'in your face' way is the epitome of what it means to be an American. The Qu'ran is satanic in origin and the more they burn the better. Doesn't the Bible promote the destruction of idols? And....it doesn't remotely compare to what they (muslims) do to Christians, Jews, Hindus or anyone else who refuses to worship their 'allah', a.k.a. satan.

http://pewforum.org/...nniversary.aspx

MG... it is fact that you delight when you perceive animosity towards you from the saints. Why is that? Why does it make your day? Can you show me this attitude in the bible?

I went back to the OP, and bolded your first sentence. The same attitude is there, just directed to a different group of people. I just don't understand why causing or receiving division or offense would ever cause joy.

Ephesians 4

Unity in the Body of Christ

1As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
