Saints, sometimes the Vinedresser has to prune the branch so that it will bear more FRUIT. [John chapter 15]

A good book on the Vine? Bruce Wilkinson wrote a short book titled "Secrets of the Vine". He makes a stretch for the arguement on UES but if you can overlook that, he portrays the work of the Vinedresser beautifully.

In this powerful follow-up to his bestseller The Prayer of Jabez, Dr. Bruce Wilkinson explores John 15 to show readers how to make maximum impact for God. Dr. Wilkinson demonstrates how Jesus is the Vine of life, discusses four levels of

I know what it's like to be broken & wake up each day wishing you hadn't.

The longer it goes on for the more it just seems that time is the healer - I don't mean to sound bad here but I have struggled to be a good daughter to him yet my world is dark - almost every fear I ever had has been realised. I am almost frightened to say that in case he sends/lets something else horrible come my way to make me more appreciative of what I do have (healthy child etc). I believe in God & do love Jesus but frankly can't understand why he creates our personalities, hopes and dreams, abilities etc which when we try to honour him through them destroys it & us. He is more powerful than satan so he can stop things from happening. I know we have to focus on eternity but how on earth can we bring others to him if our message is 'you'll be better of when you

Thank you all for your responses and your input! :il:

However, I was refurring about being broken on the inside, not being humbled and broken before God.

Long story short, I broke my heart, into millions of pieces. Becoming a Christian, Jesus slowly has begun to put the pieces back together. I don't understand why I still feel broken. Jesus is healing me, and has already put a lot of me back together. In Christ there is a new creation. well why am I still a broken person? I mean it isn't satan planting thoughts or anything.....it is me, being hurt, feeling strange, not whole. Shouldn't there be a point when I am simply non-broken, not hurting, or anything? ( I am not talking physical pain either)

does that help explain it any?

OR maybe God amongst my broken heart, is trying to break my spirit, and because I won't let go of the pieces of my heart, neither can be accomplished, meanwhile I am swimming among deep scary waters, looking up, and yet going down.

Hey hun! Ok I am sorry that I misunderstood your question..

First can I ask you if you have let go of ALL unforgiveness toward EVERYONE who has come against you or caused you pain? Sometimes we think we have but deep down it is still there...I know this one first hand... :oww: ...

If you would rather talk in PM let me know?

Love you hun

Hang in there

Not a problem Koppen! For there are a couple differnent ways to be broken, I should have clarified more. But again, each post was there for a reason, and had an impact on certain people.

ALL forgiveness toward EVERYONE???? I dunno. I thought I had. But in all honesty. I am angry and kinda bitter. And not at who you would assume. I know that, that is a part of it. That is part of what i have to let go I think. But I not exactly sure how to.

I thought I had rid myself of ALL unforgiveness recently but God revealed to me that I had not and I realized that I still had unforgiveness toward my father who left me when I was young and attempted to kill my mother...This was a VERY hard one to release...But I have to tell you when I did my life changed...I used to be sick alot...Now I am doing so much better....I also was passed on this book telling how to get rid of ALL unforgiveness and bitterness...It is a powerful tool (biblically based) it make you see it for what it is and what it does to the body but most importantly your SOUL....It was a real eye opener for me...No instead of anger, bitterness, and A SHARP TONGUE...I speak with compassion, love , and respect to everyone, even those who come against me and hate me for who I stand for... I passed this book on to another family member, however, I am going to see if they are done with it...I would like to send it to you via snail mail or I can scan the pages and send it to you via email, it's only about 15 pages long...However you would like to recieve it, if would like to read it...

Here are some scriptures concerning Bitterness and unforgiveness :

It can lead to terrible things in ones life....

Well Beth, do you think that being broken on the inside would be part of being broken before God and being humbled by Him?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
