This is an excerpt from "The New Anointing" message at Let us reason........concerning the drunk in God teaching that is on TBN..and the new revival.......

WHERE THERE IS AN ABSENCE OF DISCERNMENT HERESY WILL THRIVE!

This attitude would never have been accepted in the apostles day or even centuries after. Today is not a time to shrink back from those who say we are "Gods anointed." We need boldness to examine whether they are under his anointing or self proclaimed leaders taking us for a ride over the waterfalls. These men are trailblazer like Paul, leading the church into another Gospel.

Can you throw God around like a baseball? Does he obey your every whim. Can you pass on his presence to another person or an inanimate object? Can you breathe in the Spirit, if you can then so can unbelievers! Is the Spirit a healing presence then we shouldn

i dont particularly care for paul and jan crouch. (dont ya just love that hair, my hubby thought it was tamy faye for a long time, had to convince him otherwise) i do not support tbn financially, i dont agree with a lot of what is on there, as is with every channel on tv, but i do enjoy watching some shows on tbn, shows that i watch whenever they are on, as much as possible, including j oyce meyer (please dont throw any stonea at me) ray comfort/kirk cameron's the Way of the Master, and especially Hillsong, wish it were on more channels more often. I love listening to Brian Houston preach, he''s hysterical, (not just the accent) oh yeah, and the praise and worship rocks too

-TBN reminds me of the Bakers. Remember Tammy and Jim Baker, it's amazing that Tammy and Jan both have the same look especially when they cry.

YUKON----the bakers started out on tbn--they hosted their own daily "Show"then decided they could do just as well with their own programming "show"--:t2:

dgolvach,  you're right.  I've seen Jan Crouch try and make people feel guilty for not sending money.  I've thought all the same things about TBN that you mention in your post.  I watch EWTN now.  Even a non-Catholic can enjoy that station and they don't beg old people for money.

Interestingly enough, both EWTN and TBN now run the late RCC Bishop Sheen's "sermons".

The groundwork for the ultimate realization of Genesis Chapter 11 is being laid-unity at the expense of sound doctrine, and the exaltation of man("they"/"us"/"they"/"they"/"they"/"they"/"us"/"us"/"we" in verses 3-4), and foreshadowing the appearance of the "ultimate man"(666), the anti-Christ, instead of the LORD- "...let US(emphasis mine)make us a name...."(11:4), instead of the LORD God-notice 12:2:

"And I(emphasis mine-the LORD)will ....make thy name great...."

In Christ,

John Whalen

Well, we just can't allow that to happen... :o Gotta find something to fight over here.

OK, how's this? Even if they were teaching perfectly sound doctrine, I would still have concerns. Many people truly consider TV (or computers) to be their church. And that's a crying shame, methinks.

I was watching TBN one night and Perry Stone was on there and he said years ago he had a dream that he was asked to speak on TBN and he didn't have a coat so they told him he had to have one and they got Paul Crouch's coat for him.

He said he put it on and it was so heavy it was hard to wear. Then he noticed it had a big stain on it but they covered it up for him, and then he noticed that it had a tear on it too and then there was a hole in the pocket.

He said he prayed for the meaning of the dream and God told him:

The hole in the pocket represented money that had fallen out.

The tear in the front represent attacks on the ministry.

The stain represented stains in the ministry that had been covered by the blood.

Then he asked, Lord why was it so heavy?

God said, never judge a man until you've worn his coat.

I think TBN has problems and I think any giving to ministries should be covered in prayer and God should tell you to give where He would have you to give and you should be sure of it. He will send confirmation. If you are giving to TBN and can't pay your bills, I'd say give somewhere else that God directs.

"Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some also from goodwill: The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I will rejoice" Phillipians 1:15-18

OK - I really have no where else to comment on this so I'm gonna do it here. Sorry.

Has anyone else noticed how much Gloria Copeland looks and acts like Kenneth? :P I remember seeing her several years ago and her demeanor was soft and she was her own self. Now, her mannerisms are like his. Even her facial expressions! And she talks like him in that she says the same things, and puts emphasis on the same words and everything. It's almost like he's the one talking. :P

I said this to my hubby and he said that when two people live together for a long time that that happens. You grow to look alike and sound alike. Now I look at him, then look in the mirror, then look at him, then look in the mirror, then look at him .... :suspect: :oww: :oww:

:oww: I have on my bookshelf just about every book that all the well known faith preachers have written. I was in the faith movement at one time. I spent many, many hours studying my bible on this subject. This is what I learned from those many years of studying. All it takes to get into this teaching is to be in need. When one is hungery, sick, living a life of proverty. With no way out. The word of faith movement offers them hope. A way out. It is like a drowning man reaching for a piece of driftwood. Then you have the ones who listen and see the hope thats being offered to others and wanting to be a part of something good they give too. I've lived my life in both these lanes. Does the faith message work? That depends on how you look at it. Does God give out new cars because you give them five dollars. No- Will one get rich from this NO- I never did nor have I ever seen anyone who has. Will this make God heal you NO. New cars, houses, land. clothes, the list could go on. To those of you who have never been hungery, homeless, its easy to judge. You may ask will if it dosen't work then why do it why give them your last ten dollars. I ask you why not. There's always hope after you give. Hope such a tiny word but man can't live without it. Thats what these preachers give to people hope, that God will somehow hear their crys for help and answer. Hope for that light bill, house note, sick love one. Are we supposed to give, does God answer prayers, does these people even care, is it wrong to send them money to pay for air time to spread this message of hope I don't know you be the judge. All I know is there is no one are no place to go to, to get help when you are hurting but God and these people point you in that direction. I know because I am living proof of it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
