Guest
This is strictly my opinion: I don't pay a lot of attention to signature pictures. There are a couple of other boards where I turn that feature off because the users either use so many, or such large pictures the screen gets cluttered. I don't have a problem with any of the three you posted, but if one is causing a problem for another believer I would recommend pulling it so that another does not stumble. Like walla, I sometimes turn signatures off... some people's are half a page long and that's just impractical and clutters the screen.

While I have no problem with posting a picture of Jesus at all. Ihis one looks a little like a spaced out hippy. I think it is the eyes. I would like to see a hint of love and grace, not what looks to be like to me an accusing stare. I just think the artist got it wrong, no more than that. But all art is in the eye of the beholder, no? There is some Christian art I don't like, and some I do. The ethereal Jesus is a lamb stuff, I don't like. He is our King, and angels are His army. But pictures as a whole? Don't sweat it...

It's kind of like punning, I guess. We do it with various things all the time, at least here in America we do this. So in that regard, I appreciated the "I want you" take. But, like some of the others mentioned, the way the image was drawn is unsettling. I guess they were thinking since Uncle Sam is stern, so should the image of Jesus. Unfortunately, it makes Him look mean. We need to see His love, and the picture doesn't express that in any way. In other words, good idea (my opinion) but bad execution. Not being American, I just thought it was a kinda brash picture of Jesus wanting us. At least now I get what the picture was aiming for...

Commercialization of the Messiah is kind of just wrong somehow. But, if you like them and they are not inappropriate for the site, I think anyone who doesn't care for them should just ignore them and get on with posting their own. There's really no reason to make a big deal out of such a small thing....unless one doesn't have anything else going on.

I guess I could say that your pictures are not offensive to me, but honestly, I haven't seen any of them.
