I heard John Hagee speak of this once. He said that the blood ran down onto the mercy seat of the ark. He also said someone had seen it. (I sorta thought Hagee claimed to have seen it, but my memory is faulty! )

that is fascinating, traveller...do you believe what John Hagee is saying is true? COULD there have been real blood flowing from the Mercy Seat? Wonder who SAW THIS? I'd love to hear more...thanks for sharing that. :il:

SH, I don't know if it's true or not. I mean, if it's hidden because God wants it to be, then NO, it has not been seen. Otherwise, :noidea But, I will see if I can find the reference on it by Hagee.

I don't think that it's true, but people are very fond of this sort of myth. If you want an equally doubtful location for the Ark, the Ethiopian Church believes that they've got it locked up in a place called Auxum.

see here

At least their myth and associated object of veneration,is a medieval one (on a par with the Turin shroud, and all those bits of the true cross found by St Helena) and not something thought up by some latter day wannabe Indiana Jones.

there is a web page that speaks of the ark, having blood on it, ( found years ago supposidly ) and that on galgotha, there is a hole, ( like a post hole, and a sealed up crack..... and with aproximate measurments, that crack also lines up with a crack in the catagombs under the mount.... that is also sealed up and supposidly, a sample of the substance was taken from the ark, and also from teh ceiling above it and also from the ground on top and it was blood and all matched....

thoughts have it, that when the ground shook at the death of Christ, and his side was pierced, that the blood/water ran out and into the crack made by the earth quake, and then ran down into the catacombs and poured onto the mercy seat.... then when Christ rose, the ground shook and sealed it all back up again....

now, the guy that supposidly found it is no longer alive... but the directions on how to get to it are in the hands of certain jews..... supposidly this man could touch it and have no ill effects and when he found it there was angelic beings there and told him what to do... gave him instructions to leave it there for now..... there was supposidly others that went there to retrieve it, and were struck dead when they entered the room and touched it....... ( remember, only certain ones, the priest could touch it and then only in a certain way for peticular reasons..... )

now, the room is thought to have been sealed back up again.... but all of this sounds real, but then again, if I was writing something like this I might even go into a bit more detail....

in that same room was suppose to be found other artifacts also......

fascinating... Thanks for sharing that article...and quoted from that article...

Whilst in the chamber, Ron noticed a dried, black substance in an earthquake crack in the roof, above the Ark of the Covenant. He noticed that this black substance was also on the lid of the cracked stone casing. Obviously, this substance had dripped from the crack in the roof, and provision had been made for it to land on the Ark of the Covenant, as the stone lid had been cracked and moved aside. Ron wondered what substance could be so sacred, that God made provision for it to land on the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant. He remembered the earthquake crack at the foot of the cross hole, and suddenly an awesome realization as to what had happened, came over him. Ron traced the earthquake crack, and indeed it was the same crack as the one at the cross hole. The dried black substance in the crack was tested and proved to be blood, apparently the blood of Jesus Christ. The Bible says that when Jesus died there was an earthquake and the rocks were rent (Matt. 27:51). A Roman soldier speared Christ in His side in order to make sure He was dead, and blood and water poured out (John 19:34). Ron discovered that this same blood and water poured down through the earthquake crack and fell upon the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant.

Human cells normally have 46 chromosomes. These are actually 23 pairs of homologous chromosomes. In each pair of chromosomes, one of the pair is from the mother and the other member is from the father. Therefore, 23 chromosomes come from the mother and 23 from the father. In each set of 23, 22 chromosomes are autosomal and one is sex-determining. The sex-determining ones are the X chromosome and the Y chromosome. Females are XX, so they can only contribute an X chromosome to their offspring, whereas males are XY, which allows them to contribute either an X or a Y. If they contribute an X, the child is female, whereas if they contribute a Y, the child is male. The fascinating finding in this blood was that instead of 46 chromosomes, there were only 24. There were 22 autosomal chromosomes, one X chromosome and one Y chromosome. This evidences that the person to whom this blood belonged to had a mother but no human father, because the normal contribution of paternal chromosomes is missing. 1John.5.8, 9: "And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son." What does Daniel 9:24 mean, when it says, "To anoint the Most Holy."? The rest of the verse refers to events that occurred at the cross. Did this also, then occur at Jesus' crucifixion? The Hebrew word for Most Holy is, "qodesh haq-qodeshim". It is used several times in the Old Testament and always refers to the Most Holy place, or furniture in the Most Holy place ie. the Ark of the Covenant. This then must be a prophecy that Christ, on the cross, will anoint the Ark of the Covenant, with His blood.

You know what ELSE is amazing???

CHECK THESE OUT but ESPECIALLY CHECK THIS ONE OUT in the 8th CENTURY! God TRULY CAN DO ALL THINGS! He has NO LIMITS on revealing Himself to people who are unbelievers!~ Lord have mercy on us all! :il:

The Apocrypha claims that Jeremiah hid it in a cave at Mt Nebo where it would be hidden till God reveals it. I saw a video that had a Jewish Rabbi claiming they saw it the catacombs under Jerusalem but that Muslims stopped them from retriving it. It's a never ending mystery though, great topic.

...and then http://www.baseinstitute.org/covenant.html has yet another theory...

My opinion of such exhaustive searches is that they usually do more to demonstrate yet again either the vanity or faithlessness of men:

Vanity (outside the obvious possibility of glory seeking Indianna Joneses) even if the bent is to further "prove" the accuracy and inerrancy of the gospel. Does God need the help of man to authenticate His Word? Is this NOT vanity? It

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
