One thing I have noticed is that many people don't seem to care about the rewards, just getting in. When you speak of rewards, what do you mean? Crowns, size of your mansion, or the amount of authority you will have throughout eternity?

I wish you were in my Sunday School Class, you ask good questions! Since I have given my life over to our LORD I have dug in and having internet access I have made some great friends that are brethern and a few, over these past 21 years have been fluent in the languages. From them, collectively, I have learned the mansion idea is not completely wrong nor is it correct. The consensus runs that better translations are a room or an apartment in "the: mansion'... God's mansion. Now, while even that can be magnified to the extreme also I am still not going there. The rewards I spoke of was the Crowns we will joyfully return to the LORD. I have found that my service precludes my personal vanity, I would hope it does that for all of us.

A disturbing teaching I have heard over the years is the misconception that there is no difference between a Christian and a non-believer except that one believes in Jesus and one doesn't. In that school of though, a Christian will not have gone through any real transformation in this life, but will look and act like a non-believer, but one will go to hell and one to heaven. What do you say to those who believe that, and what are the rewards? :noidea:

I pull out my copies of Where To Find It In The Bible and the Nave's Topical and point them back to the scriptures concerning this matter such as John 14:12-17 and make sure they key in on verses such as 15 in this passage. This is the scriptural proof for my oft taught and oft challenged teaching that there is more to the matter than just beliving Jesus was and is our Savior... even Satan believes or knows that Jesus is the Living Christ and He will not spend eternity in Heaven... but he believes! The reward for those that believe this scripture without the light of all other scripture being shown on it is Hell!

I probably have upset swome but the truth of the Word of God, often does that and I have never been an ear tickler.

Hang On Beloved

For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. John 3:16 (Amplified Bible)

Hang On

For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved. Romans 10:13 (Amplified Bible)

No Glory But Jesus Christ And Him Crucified

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. Galatians 4:6

I think the reason the word mansion is used rather than room in the Father's house is to show it is more than simply a small room like one might picture. It is a place of splendor. I guess what I am asking you to be more specific is, to those who are thinking that having crowns is no big deal, and so what if they lose them, so long as they make it in, what would you say to them? :noidea: Perhaps it is hard to relate to people like that, but there are a lot of them.

It is our bodies that degrade the reward... that is why Paul buffeted His 1Cor 9:24-27 and pressed to the high calling that is in Christ Jesus Phil 3:14... For this is the mind set of Paul that rewards of life pressed into conforming to The Son's Life is eternal glory unto God. This lucifer rebelled against and our bodies are not redeemed so the natural tendency is .... Imagine the scene called forth among great people to approach The Very God who has made you to recieve a reward that reflects your effort for Him ... "I just want to get in will be long gone by that time" ! May we all ask God to place this time in our hearts so that we as Paul press toward His Glory.... Love Steven

I apologize for the misunderstanding. When this issue is presented I go to Matthew 22:2-14. It is here that we find the Church, the Jews and those that have believed but did not enter into the Bride of the Christ. The Groom is, of course, Jesus. The Bride is those that have received their crowns and cast them at His feet. Now here is where folks get sticky about the truth, the jew is those that refused to come to the wedding and the Guests are those that did no or few works. These people are no less saved than the members of the Bride but they, and this is not researched enough to call it anything but my opinion, but they will not rule with Christ for the 1,000 year reign. And my questions for them to reflect on are, first, "Why would you want to be second rate and not love God?" And my second question is something like, "Why would you take a gift of small value when for nothing more than your commitment the very best is yours?"

Then, yes, it is difficult to relate to these folks and I cannot pretend to understand them. It has been my experience that these people usually fail at everything they attempt to do because of their inability to commit to anything.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
