There are certainly atheists who seem to enjoy either a good intellectual discussion, or wish to go to court over what seem to be trivial issues. I am not convinced they are all looking for a fight, but they all seem to be very aware of whether their rights are violated. I tend to believe that we should not force people to pray, but we should be willing to share our experiences.

They seem to attack all religions. Christianity is first on the list because this is a Christian country.

Rather than fight with them, we may wish to say, "We will not force you to agree there is a God, and we will not force you to pray. We would like to convince you." The Lord seems to handle the situation better than we do. I would not wish Madelyn Murray O'Hair 's (a noted atheist) life and death on anybody. We should regard these folks with compassion rather than as enemies.

I don't know what country you're in but, in the United States, no one is forced to pray or to believe there is a God. Ever. Atheists can't use that as an argument here. And they do NOT attack other religions as they do Christianity; when was the last protest held by atheists against Hinduism or islam? How about Buddhism or Scientology?

oh but society controls the interpretations! They change by the decade to suit the progression of society. Take homosexuality for example, some say Jesus didn't care while others claim it to be an abomination! 50 years ago it would have been the latter, now it's becoming "ok". The plain meaning of the bible varies from person to person, so there isn't anything plain about it. Demonstrating is left to the individual who interpreted it so you will have people being martyrs through self sacrifice or killing their demon possessed mother to save her.

God's Word is quite blunt on this subject and easy to understand. God hasn't changed and neither has His Word:

Yes this is your interpretation of the text. People are able to twist an interpretation, finding reasonings or other scripture to support their view. I also agree with your view on this but there are many who would oppose it.

I didn't offer any interpretation or commentary, rather I let the Scriptures speak for themselves and they do that quite bluntly and plainly. Those who try to twist these Scriptures to fit their purpose look pretty silly and foolish. So, they would have a need to write their own Bible to achieve their purpose. In the meantime, anyone with common sense should know that God's Word condemns homosexual behavior.

Why Do atheists Attack Christianity? sure there are peaceful atheist out there but most of them seem to want to try soooooooooooo hard into disproving God like if if there where right the would gain something out of crushing someone else's faith??????? when Christians try to turn someone to God it is out of love rather then hate when MOST atheist try to disprove God it seems they do it to get joy... thats just sad and sorry not to mention why dont the go after other religions as well such as wiccan, jewish, buddhism, hinduism and so on.... even on this board alone there are alot of atheist... why whats the point? if they dont believe in God why not just go on living their life? whats the point in joining a board to try and crush someone's faith?

This is a story that may be of some interest. I was raised without religious teaching or instruction in a secular home and secular schools. I was an atheist because I knew nothing about God and didn't see why I should care. The first time an overly exuberant believer told me I was in danger of hell, I had to ask what they meant. Even though they explained it in an over the top manner and called me a sinner, I only resented their tone of voice. I was a true atheist, who believed in nothing beyond this life and so I couldn't take offense at a non-existent God. A little later in life I had become an angry cynical teenager. I was a raging agnostic! I hated God, hated being preached to, and hated most other things that had nothing to do with the issue at hand. I couldn't believe that God would allow suffering, condemn anyone, or forgive sins easily at all. Especially mine. I was insecure to the core. About two years ago I began my search for God in earnest and, long story short, wound up as a believer very quickly. The point of all this is that people aren't neccessarily atheist, agnostic, christian etc. Those are just steps on their journey towards God. Seeking union with our creator is as instinctive as a lost child seeking his mother. But don't be surprised if the child, upon finding them, rebukes their parent for 'abandoning' them!!! :)

Yes this is your interpretation of the text. People are able to twist an interpretation, finding reasonings or other scripture to support their view. I also agree with your view on this but there are many who would oppose it.

I didn't offer any interpretation or commentary, rather I let the Scriptures speak for themselves and they do that quite bluntly and plainly. Those who try to twist these Scriptures to fit their purpose look pretty silly and foolish. So, they would have a need to write their own Bible to achieve their purpose. In the meantime, anyone with common sense should know that God's Word condemns homosexual behavior.

Is there such thing as scripture speaking plainly? There is sometimes a general consensus on whats acceptable to the majority, e.g "do not murder" but there are many cases of incorrect interpretations or blurred lines. I am told time again that scripture requires a grammatical-historical-contextual interpretation but how many people actually have that? They have the Holy Spirit for guidance right? Yet there is still much discrediting disagreeance. I recall too many times when individuals have had opposing views and been labelled fake christians. Even at churches you are confronted with pastors who have their own takes on things which they spread to the masses while slapping the God label upon it. Or you have individuals cherrypicking aspects of God to, falling into a permissive sentimentality. Staying in God's will and constantly renewing your mind is possibly the only thing i can think of which would keep you switched on and alert to spiritual truths and divine reality. In a few words, following Christ is a difficult journey.

You're speaking from the perspective of a nonbeliever, and you're talking about the problems of men - not God and the Holy Bible. Following Christ and having Him as the Head over your life is MUCH better and easier than walking alone in darkness and sin.

There are certainly atheists who seem to enjoy either a good intellectual discussion, or wish to go to court over what seem to be trivial issues. I am not convinced they are all looking for a fight, but they all seem to be very aware of whether their rights are violated. I tend to believe that we should not force people to pray, but we should be willing to share our experiences.

They seem to attack all religions. Christianity is first on the list because this is a Christian country.

Rather than fight with them, we may wish to say, "We will not force you to agree there is a God, and we will not force you to pray. We would like to convince you." The Lord seems to handle the situation better than we do. I would not wish Madelyn Murray O'Hair 's (a noted atheist) life and death on anybody. We should regard these folks with compassion rather than as enemies.

I never argued that having Christ at the head was worse than not. I cannot see how it is easier than going secular though. Non-believers do not see themselves as walking in darkness and sin, they are just going through life.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
