lol everyones got their own ideas on everything. Wheres the guidance of the Holy Spirit? They have been saying it's the end times for thousands of years, every generation thinks they are really close.

What does it matter if we're in the end times or not? A lie is still a lie, no matter the time of day. Evil knows no season, is always prevalent and on the attack.

What do you think about Rick Warren and his staff members promoting books by the late Mystic Henri Nouwen? It shouldn't be hard for any true believer in Jesus Christ, who believes the Word of God (the Bible) to clearly understand that Christians should NOT be promoting books by Henri Nouwen!

I think it's insane. From what I understand, Nouwen was a gay universalist priest who leaned heavily toward Hindu teachings and practices. This would be a perfect example for this thread. I read a few quotes from him after seeing your question, and I find it ridiculous that any Christian would recommend his books and materials. However, Rick Warren doing this doesn't surprise me at all. I think these are signs of the end times of this Age of Grace where there is a departure from sound doctrine with a mixture of evil.

What exactly is wrong with Mysticism?

It's not any different than the pagan ideas that were first introduced to the followers of the saints that the Roman government killed. These followers of the dead saints were the first Roman Catholic Christians who were taught all kinds of pagan ideas compared to the truth they were listening to in the gospel their saints preached. Everything that came after these saints were killed is deception. Not one church that exists has the truth of God speaking through them.

Have you been to all existing churches? Do you know the mind of God?

Here's the truth about gnosticism.

After the Romans killed all the saints and started the false religion of Christianity, they produced a new testament by using the confiscated writings of the saints they killed. They burned up most of them to keep their followers from reading them. They used some writings and deleted any evidence of the true gospel. They didn't want these followers of the dead saints to get suspicious so by making it impossible for them to understand how the saints were being used by God to get them sinless, there were able to deceive them. Then they added many pagan ideas and words to guarantee that no Christian would ever become sinless saints and preach the gospel that Jesus and the saints preached.

The Romans were unable to find all the writings of the saints so some of them were in circulation. They only way they could deceive their followers about these writings they missed was to call them evil writings their false prophets were writngs. These poor Christians believed these lies about the evil gnostic writings and many Christians still believe those lies. The history of these Romans is all lies so if you read them, you're hearing the lies from the Romans, not the truth from God.

Jesus and the saints got all their knowledge from God and not the scriptures. God guided them to the scriptures after they got enough knowledge to interpret them but they didn't get any of their truth from the scriptures.

The Romans deceived every single Christian whoever lived and they still deceive them with the lies they added to the scriptures.

LOL back at you. Universalism and Hindu teachings/practices are a no-brainer, and what would you know about the guidance of the Holy Spirit and Bible Prophecy? I could offer much more information about Bible Prophecy, but you wouldn't be ready for any of it. You really ought to stick to threads that you know something about. Your post resembles something like a troll would post. Are you having fun here?

There are still good Bible-Believing, Bible-Teaching churches out there - you just have to look for them. They probably aren't big or popular, but they still exist.

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
