Why do people so often want God to explain why He lets bad things happen,

Because we hurt.

Sorry you were offended, Candice. I just thought the way this explanation was worded was comforting and encouraging.

Sorry sis, I could have beefed out my explanation a bit more. I am not hurt nor offended (well I am hurt now and have been hurt before, and can sympathise with those who want an answer to this question, but I am not hurt / offended by you or this thread), I just do not need to ask the question "why" because I already know. Man sinned.

Not for punishment but to give pure direct from God (Love essenced in God likeness) to give to others as Christ has to us....

Candice & Neb I would like to lay this before you for your examinations! I believe you both to be of good mind and spiritual wellness so here it is:

Our Father has told us that know one knows the heart but Him.

He has also said that we are engaged in a warfare by superior being in abilities and would be able to lead us away by deception if allowed by God. Also an important factor is our bodies are in

direct influence by the world we are no longer to attach to.... You add all this up and we have trials that have purpose to teach and reveal the truth of God in experiential flesh and spirit warfare to

bring us into Christ likeness by renewing the mind to a spiritual plane of God's Will becoming the ultimate desire within our souls being.... I have found by God's grace and The Holy Spirits

power that I can fully believe myself to be certain way... I mean have no doubt of it's reality within and a trial will come it will be fashioned and formed for me to apply my what I think I am to the

trials calling only to fail showing what I thought was the real am to reveal I am not ....Here is the critical aspect of the whole purpose of the trial... I either in humility confess to The Lord my pride

in thinking I knew my own heart and admit to Him I am small and weak and need His everything to deliver me from the lie of myself to the reality of Him within!Truly light comes into dark places

unless we shrink back from the trial into the darkness of the lie... It has been given me to understand waiting upon the Lord is in fact the realization that in and of myself there is no source for

judgment in things but In Him Through His Spirit by the understanding of The Word.... I could not for a very long time understand Paul's willingness to go to eternal separation of God for the

sake of His Brethren "The Jews"... It wasn't till a trial took my mind to the reality that what I thought was dead was not me (but the idea of me).... It is the Holy Spirit of God that can effectively

cause us to abandon ourselves to The Perfect Will of God so in the entirety of essence is the obedience to the Perfect Pleasure of The Father all is brought to bear "never the less Your Will be

done" ... anything that would prevent this heart from being formed in us shall in fact come under trials to bring about the opportunity to see the false way that resides in us and
The Purposed

Intent
to empty by discarding in repentant prayer so that portion can be filled With God The Holy Spirit. We are to be like Him this is the Will of The Father in Christ Jesus.... When the heart is

truly readied from trials to the place it no longer holds to that outside of God 's Will for it is perfected in reason, in purpose, in prayer, so that Love is now perfected in God from which it flows

unto the witness of His Children so that Christ may be seen.

1 Peter 1:7-12

7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8 whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith

How would you answer -

"Why is God allowing this to happen to me? Why doesn't He stop it? Doesn't He love me?"

Neb, this is a passage from Psalms that stunned me a few years back:

Psa 66:10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

11 Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

Cruising

And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.

And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God. Luke 12:16-21

Or The Cross

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Luke 9:23

Some Will Choose Wisely

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

But Most Will Not

The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:35-36

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
