I agree, even though I don't like our president, it is hard to convince people of his doings among all the lies that come up.

I have not like Dan since I saw him with several newscasters on a pbs show one night discussing the news media.

The question came to them all of what they would do if they had been given an assignment to go with a north Vietnamese patrol into the bush, and an American patrol was about to be ambushed. Would the news man warn the American troops.

Dan said no he would not for he was a news reporter first and foremost in life.

I nearly smashed the TV in outrage.....

By the way Tom Brockaw was the only one there that said he'd take a bullet for the US patroll....... To this day I still watch Tom's news broadcasts over the others.

I agree Sam...I liked to watch CBS in spite of Dan because they had better coverage of military issues. But now, looking at that guy makes me physically ill...

It is what Dan the man said, Peter J, would not answer the question, just said he'd never let himself get into that situation, I can't remember who else was on the pannel but Tom B. just spoke right up and told them he simply could not let the ambush happen and would warn the american troops even if it ment sure death.

I was a Viet Nam era Veteran and know good and well we didn't have such a font.

A typewriter company should be able to prove one way or another whether or not some typewriters could make the "th" at that time. There should also be other documents around from that time-period that would have the "th" if that font was available.

While I wouldn't put it against anyone to "forge" documents, (case in point, the forgeries used to promote the invasion of Iraq) this matter should be easily cleared up ...and soon.

I dont even know the issues anymore, you know the issues that Bush was once running on and the ones Kerry never had!

Kerry doesn't have to voice his positions on anything, those who agree with him know what he stands for and will follow him over the clift should he go there. People who are upset with Bush are much more likely to vote for Kerry if he doesn't talk at all. The old "anything's better than Bush" will only go so far and Kerry may well fear pushing people back past it.

It's to me the strangest election.....
