Even before accepting Christ as my savior if any one asked me would you die for Him my answer would have been yes. Yes I would die for Him. Even when I just knew of Him I understood how important He was. Lately I've been thinking about this question. Would I die for Him? My answer is still Yes... oh God... I would die for Him. I was talking to Him one night and this question entered my mind and automaticly my response was Yes. Then the strangest thing happen. Another question entered my mind one that surprised me. Would you live for Him? I sat there for a few moments before I said Yes I'll live for Him. Then another thought entered my mind. He doesn't want you to die for Him. He wants you to live for Him.

This eposide was so disturbing that I pushed it to the back of my mind. You see to live completely for Christ entittles something that I never thought I could really posses. But I've learned by the Grace of God that even though I may not posses the ability to do this the Holy Spirit that lives within me is able to guild me through Him. I don't know if any one will understand this, but I just thought I would share.

God Bless You All

Philippians 1:21 For to me to live is Messiah, and to die is gain.

Psalm 63:1 God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.

Psalm 63:2 So I have seen you in the sanctuary, watching your power and your glory.

Psalm 63:3 Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you.

Psalm 63:4 So I will bless you while I live. I will lift up my hands in your name.

You don't know how much I understand. Thoughts such as these have weighed heavily on my mind the last few weeks. To die for God would be easy really. Living for Him completely is totally different. It calls us to a high committment that not all are willing to make. It says 'God, I'm not concerned with my comfort, my feelings, my life, I'm focused on You, your plan and your will regardless of how I think I may be affected.'

Jesus said:

Matthew 16:24Then Jesus said to the disciples, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must put aside your selfish ambition, shoulder your cross, and follow me. 25If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for me, you will find true life. 26And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process? Is anything worth more than your soul?

You have to ask yourself when reading these verses, 'am I giving my life totally and completely and committing myself to Your plan?'

Again Jaqueline- great thread! Thank you for sharing

Living for Him was the defining moment of my conversion- lemme explain. My conviction happened while seeing "The Passion" on March 1st. My very lukewarm, complacent "Christian" life came to a screeching halt- as I watched the movie, I was crying. Not crying because of the violence, but because all I could think of was "He did that for me- and I can't live for Him?" Day to day, I'm aware of my actions... are they glorifying Him? It's been said before, but bears repeating- it's not about us- it's all about Him.

1 Corinthians 10

31Whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, you must do all for the glory of God. 32Don't give offense to Jews or Gentiles or the church of God. 33That is the plan I follow, too. I try to please everyone in everything I do. I don't just do what I like or what is best for me, but what is best for them so they may be saved.

If the situation ever arises- yes- I am fully prepared to testify. I am not ashamed or afraid to tell of God and what He has done for me.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
