I've been through this twice now. I still look around me and see huge, gigantic trees that must be many years old....enormous oaks and such...look like twigs uprooted.

Orlando area took a horrendous hit and we have neighbors who are just absolutely devastated by trees, roofs and even CONCRETE that was churned up.

I stand outside my house and look in awe and think, "Huh?" How in the world did this happen? No damage or nothing.

We didn't even lose power for more than 17 hours so we lost no food either. Things kept in the freezer.

So, what can I say. My body is fastly wasting away but God has generously provided me with a safe haven. I have no strength in the body to do cleanup or even gather ice and water if I had to.

But God has seen to it that the affliction is restricted to the body and not the sanctuary He's placed me in.

Praise Him...is all I can say.

Trav...after I watched the "Passion" on video again, I began to realize that if God didn't even spare His own Son the agony and suffering of a horrible death, how could I even mourn my own affliction?

Mine is so small compared to His. Perhaps the idea is getting past the flesh and moving forward into the Spirit.

I focus too much on flesh and need to change the focus to the Spirit. The pain is real. The weakness is very real. But I serve a God who is more real than real and He is my strength and salvation.

What Princess Cruise Lines did is totally awesome. I cried when I read it. All the more so because the warehouse in Houston is sitting there full of food and water to go Cayman, but no plane yet. It breaks my heart and angers me that so many people are sitting there hungry and there is so much here and no way to get it to them. hopefully, that plane will be here today to leave out tomorrow.

And hopefully some of those much needed supplies from Princess will find their way to IR. Please Jesus!
