I have no idea what part of the USA you are from :) but persecution is the systematic mistreatment of an individual or group by another group. Making a claim stating "You are not persecuted in the USA or any western democracy" is speaking for all Christians all over the USA from your own personal opinion and is the same issue you are having with the original claim the OP was about. Also when I used the word "defending" it was not necessarily for the OP more than to ask unbelievers for a since of understanding of what we as Christians have to go through everyday.

So what systematic mistreatment of christians can you point to?

Do the following examples count?:

1) Christians fail in their attempts to insert Intelligent Design into public school science curriculum (Kitzmiller v. Dover ASD)?

2) Abortion doctor murderer being sentenced to life imprisonment?

3) Gay marriage being approved by certain states?

I have not read any news about christians being systematically mistreated in western democracies.

This is the thread that was started by the OP. I am responding to the OP. The OP is not defending christianity. The OP is attacking non-believers and claiming them to be blind and naive. I am defending non-believers from someone who claims to be a christian.

Regards,

UF

You are defending nonbelievers on a Christian website. That's like going to a Country all you can eat buffet slamming your plate down screaming you wanted Chinese. If you wanted Chinese then go to a Chinese Buffet. Fact is that you are indeed at a Country Buffet so why don't you grab a plate and sit down and eat and observe? There are however topics properly labeled for such debate as I posted earlier. If this was called "Worthy Unbelievers Forums" then I would do the same. Going to the site just to defend my beliefs as you say would fall under the category of trolling. God Bless :)

Joh_8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Mat_23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Mar_2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Isnt it strange, That Jesus should eat with sinners and publicans and then be accused by the religious for having a devil. Yet all these where directed at the religious not the unbeliever. Jesus came to save the lost, but if you already believe you are saved then He cant help you. The pharisees thought that with all there religious laws and duties and scripture that they had it all, but Christ continually pointed out the fact that they had nothing. Saul was a perfect example of religions ways. Yet you claim to be persecuted, you do not understand, its the church that man calls church that will be persecuting the Lords church, the Bride, because like before the religious will believe they are doing God a favour. If you do not have the evidence of God in you, then why should they listen.

Keep searching UF but as I said before, if you really desire to know that God is real. Then talk to Him, it is very hard to find the evidence in christians,

In His Love

Are nonsensical insults and attacks limited to one kind of buffet?

Does injustice only occur in one kind of buffet?

This is the outer court, where the administrators of worthy have permitted non-believer input. The OP entitled this thread "So what! For you who doesn't [sic] believe in God". The OP addresses this thread directly to non-believers right there in the title.

I am at the correct buffet. Thanks for your concern.

If you truly do not believe, UF, why waste your time here? Shouldn't you be off living in nonbelieverville where you don't have to read posts about God?

Hi mjrhealth,

These are but a few more examples of christian behavior that I shall input into my database.

I have tried talking to your god. He has yet to answer me.

People have told me that I can find the evidence that supports the existence of god by looking at the *fruit* of christians. How else can I determine if this fruit is as rotten as I find elsewhere unless I interact with them?

Hi MorningGlory,

Yes, I truly do not believe in god/s. I spend my time here because I enjoy reading about what christians say, to each other, as well as to non-believers, like me. I enjoy reading about their various views on things.

Where I live is irrelevant to what I read.

I also enjoy interacting with some believers who are kind and considerate. I enjoy comparing these behaviors against other behaviors that are also claimed as "christian" behavior. :)

I like to observe how christians claim certain things and then watch how they behave. I have learned that although someone may claim something, their true belief is actually demonstrated by their actions and inactions. I am a student of human behavior. How about you?

UF

I have often heard conversations between Christians (like me) and those who don't believe in God. I have personally tried to convince some of them by telling them that there is a God but most of the time they end up not believing what you have to say.

-Please do note that i speak as a man-

But i have realized that he that says there is no God is either blind or naive, because merely looking around your environment you would realize that their is obviously someone in charge... some of them even go to the extent of saying they need a personal encounter with this God before they believe - i actually laugh at that sometime - because as God is love he is also a consuming fire... there are millions of people in this world who believe in God and thousands of them only get the opportunity to a personal and up-close encounter with God, thousands are still longing for this encounter and thousands would probably not ever have such encounter (and they would still keep on believing) now what would give you the impression that if you don't believe in God it would affect Him in any way? What makes you think you are so special to the extent that he would spend a minute with you just to convince you that he is God? The truth is he doesn't have to prove himself as God, he was, is and will forever be God. Amen

As a matter of fact it is a privilege to serve God. Serving God is for our own good.

God loves you, he wants you, he wants to be your God, he wants to be a friend, he wants to be your father and he wants to be your all. This is the grace period, don't let grace run out on you!

amen xyluz, I agree. What tthey don't realize is that they also have a personal encounter with God everyday. All they have to do is look aroundthem at what He created, and look at the people that reflect His son Jesus. Its kind of like the story of the man on the rooftop that asks God to send him help, and eventually drowns, not recognizing the help God sent.

Reply @ mjrhealth

Jesus never said though if he was eating with believers and a unbeliever runs into the room and interrupts the dinner dancing on the table kicking the food into the floor how he would act. This is not the same incidence as you speak and I never said UF couldn't sit at my table just ask that he keep his comments where they need to be. UF has been a member since August 04.. If he hasn't made up his mind by now then he wont anytime soon.

You said "This is the outer court, where the administrators of worthy have permitted non-believer input."

Fact is it was moved to outer court and your original few trolling post made by you was made in "Worthy Welcome"

I never intended to upset you just getting to a point of asking you to keep it where it belongs and not debate the new members like the TC.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
