Here in Cali, we are so used to earthquakes, its kind of scary. We have so many every day! usually they aren't very big, and most cannot be felt. but it is scary to see how much the rest of the country is being shaken!

BREAKING NEWS: President Obama has just confirmed that the DC earthquake occurred on a rare and obscure fault-line, apparently known as "Bush's Fault". Obama also announced that the Secret Service and Maxine Waters continues an investigation of the quake's suspicious ties to the Tea Party. Conservatives however have proven that it was caused by the founding fathers rolling over in their graves.

Another thought here -- the earthquake happened as Gold touched its all time high -- and it fell nearly $100 in a day. Trust in the Lord to supply all your needs!

That is very pertinent. Thanks for posting this.

The moment it happened I thought my children were running down the hall. It sounded like someone was drumming on my house or running down the hall with heavy boots. Then it went on a bit too long. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, "Earthquake."

Then I was at peace as it rattled on about a full minute. Next came the aftershock. A kind of slight shifting of the earth beneath my feet. Felt like being on a boat.

Next my kids began to get excited and I told them to calm down, which they did. Then I went outside to call my wife and could hear the panicked neighbors asking if everyone is allright. One neighbor actuallly drove around knocking on doors. She was quite scared. I was at peace as I checked on my Father and Mother who live a few miles away.

It's quite surprising how at Peace I was. Then I felt the need to look into the significance.

There is a shaking coming. A shaking of everything we hold dear. There will be two reactions. One for those who know and Trust the Lord and one for those who don't. However, what will be critical is that Peace that surpasseth all understanding. When folks see it they will want to know what you know.

A visiting Pastor to my home Church a few years back Prophesied all of this. He said that God would be destroying all of our Idols in America and the Western world. I don't think many rememeber or care to remeber what he said. I actually do because some were predicting this wonderful reveival which it is. However, preceeding revival is often Judgment. The judgment is used to bring the revival. Even in Judgment God is Graceful and Merciful.

Following the 2003 quake, Christopher Bailey of William and Mary College in Williamsburg, Virginia, wrote that no major tectonic events have affected Virginia during the past 200 million years, but geologic evidence indicates that a number of ancient faults in central Virginia have "experienced relatively recent movement".

"We do have a risk for strong earthquake shaking on the east coast, which is not as small as some people might think," Martin adds. "The probability of having an earthquake in this part of the world is less than somewhere like California, but it's not insignificant."

Just be careful that we (especially as Christians) don't get into the Chicken Little mindset. With the ridiculous claims to know when the end is coming earlier this year, the last thing that Believers want to do is make wild claims.
