I thought I answered this earlier. The " love " of money is evil. As " love " of a thing is idolatry.

EDIT: Oops, forgot my scripture;

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. "

- Matthew 6:21

No.. paper and metal cannot be evil, evil takes intent.

The love of money (over the Lord) however can lead to all kinds of sin.

The love of money is the root of all evil, not money itself.

It depends on who/what you love more, money or God.

God Bless you.

If money is evil, I am willing to make the ultimate sacrifice since Jesus died on the cross, and rid you of your evil.

So, who was the trouble maker that revived this old post anyway? LOL

Without money the Gospel could not go forward, Bibles could not be printed and distributed at no charge, Gospel tracts could not be freely distributed, churches could not function, and needy Christians could not be helped in their time of need. The Bible does NOT condemn wealth, but COVETOUSNESS -- the love of money.

Money is created by Human.. Jesus accepted to pay the tax.. so He accepted money.. And Jesus have given the post to Judah to keep the money with him to facilitate all needs for disciples.. This seems money is need for all and Jesus also accepted ...

Money is need..

But not more... Rich person can not go to heaven.. this is written too.. Jesus also said this matter...

Mat 6:19  Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

Mat 6:21  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

This  verse is saying.. money can divert our passion... or vision

Money is big trouble to loose our commitment to serve God

That rich young man is fallowed ten commandments from childhood.. but he is not accepted loose the wealth and riches..

That is caused him to leave the Jesus suggestions..

Pro 30:7  Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
Pro 30:8  Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
Pro 30:9  Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

Satan came to Jesus to give wealth..

but Jesus is rejected .. this matter is giving full structure.. Riches comes from Satan too..

We need to take care .. and we need to live better with content life..

Is Money evil?

No, money is simply a form of paper. But God did say that the love of money is the root of all evil in this world. Anything placed above God (loved)... well is evil. In most opinion, what is the most sought after thing in our world today?

Money isn't evil, but clinging to it, and treating it like an idol, may be. Or maybe better said, it has the ability to cause people to lose themselves and their souls and their values...over it.
