It felt like invasion of the "Body Snatchers". Surely this can't be happening, we said.

I recently came across this article and realized that ours was not the ONLY doctrinely sound conservative church that indescribably changed over night. This article was the epitome of what went on in my church.

Anybody else experienced this with their church?

AND (Sorry, it's like a book, but well worth reading. Please endure to the end of the article.)

Suzanne,

If your church isn't teaching the bible you need to find another church. It is prophetic that there will be a falling away in the last days and that preachers will respond to itching ears instead of their calling.

This is not happening in my church. Our pastor has been so burdened lately he has been telling us exactly what we need to hear and at the risk of stepping on everyone's toes. God is working to bring His bride to Him without spot or wrinkle and I do see denominational walls falling down, I beleive that is God's purpose, to have one bride, not several hundred denominations. But NOT at the expense of the true gospel of Christ.

Praise Him that you are able to discern and move on wherever He leads.

Blessings

Dear Wordsower,

Thank you for your kind words. What I am concerned about though, is that it is not just MY church! It's happening in MANY, and it is a distinct change in the Christian/Church movement, and it is VERY troubling.

Yes tsth, Its happening thruout all denomiations, and our prior church(we do not attend anymore) was also doing this. And yes it did feel like the invasion of the body snatchers cuase the message put forth is one of all inclusivness. Its is the beginning of bringing all denominations under one umbrella and namely it will ultimately lead to a one world relgion.

The message of compromise is definately there in the name of "love"and acceptance to all thoughts and imaginations. We are to love and accept one another but with Christ love and in His truth. Not that of the worlds.

It is sad, but it is prophesied. And it is coming to pass before our very eyes. Come out of her my people lest you be caught up in her sins. We are not to come out of the church per say because true believers are the church. But we need to come out of any church system that is all inclusive to the things of the world.

Keep looking up! He is coming soon!

I agree 100% Yahsway! I would really encourage ALL to read the articles posted, lest you not recognize it when it hits your church. I truly never thought it could happen to a church/pastor such as ours.

"If it possible even the very elect will be deceived"

Our pastor was the one who showed us the TRUTH of the WORD! We never dreamed he could be sucked into this falsehood.

Suzanne, you and i talked about this and we have been through the same things in this area.

I believe that sooner or later when it is very blatently clear whats going on, true christians will have a decision to make. They will either stay in these Laodician churches or they will come out. I think many people are staying when they should be out. Tradition is holding people in these worldly churches and the people who stay, stay because they think God wants them there when a lot of the time it's because they have been brainwashed into thinking that a person shouldn't "church hop" or leave their church.

WE ARE THE CHURCH and when those church building leaders cease to follow Jesus, thats when we better cease to follow them. The living room is the future church building, i believe that and i already see it. These churches who have left the path of truth will someday align themselves with the government and become just as humanistic and corrupt as they can get. They are headed that way right now one trickle at a time, but soon the flood gates will open.

Yes, I agree Jamie.

Some of you may know, that my husband has been called into ministry. The interesting thing is, we now have been called out of the "organized" church, and into the wilderness!

We are entering into a new territory. We have been called out into the "small town" church, where it's still pure and undefiled. We have currently been asked if we would consider doing a ministry in truckstops. Have you ever seen the backside of your cities truckstops. There are literally 500 or more trucks there at a time, not to mention that they are like a town within a town. We absolutely had NO IDEA how massive truckstops were! Our city is on the I-40 interestate, so the truckstop traffic is monumental. My husband also preaches in a homeless shelter here in town.

I cannot help but think of this passage in regard to what may be forming in the TRUE ministries of today, as many of us are being called out. Not to mention the churches aversion to the preaching on sin now. So my husband has experienced, the homeless are more receptive to the TRUTH now, than the church body itself. The church does not receive the message of "repentance" or "sin". It is only interested in the "feel good" doctrine and programs of "fun".

Matthew 21:31 Which of the two did the will of his father?" They said to Him, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you. 32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but tax collectors and harlots believed him; and when you saw it, you did not afterward relent and believe him.

In His Truth,

Suzanne

God wants to bring people to true saving faith in Jesus Christ, and that is what is going on in different degrees.

Suzanne,

You are right, it is happening in many, happened at the Baptist church I used to go to. I didn't realize it so much until I the Lord sent me to the church I'm at now. I have no problem with all of the described worship style, that doesn't bother me, what I have a problem with is any church sticking to a program and not allowing any room to hear from God. God showed me right after I got saved that He wanted, one faith, one Lord, one baptism and all of this contention and arguing about doctrines was going to go with the church He was raising up.

I disagree about it leading to a world religion, I don't think that one will have anything to do with my Jesus.

Just as the 5 foolish virgins were told to go and "buy" more oil, we are being called to sell all and buy new oil. Pastors, as well as the rest of us, have to make a decision to trust in their retirement plans and their member numbers and their 401k's and wordly "security" or depend on God to meet their needs!

God gave me a word a week or so ago and I sent it to many on my e-mail list, I think I posted it on the board somewhere too. here it is:

The problem with most churches today is they want to tell you that God is all about you, making your life easy and great and making you rich and comfortable.

Fact is: We signed up for the army. We gotta go through the trenches and wear what the Commander tells us and go where He tells us and eat what He gives us to eat and fight the fight. It's not about sitting up in the mansion and driving a Mercedes. We are slaves of Jesus Christ, we gave up everything to follow Him and we have to remember that He is in charge and He is sovereign and "though He slay me, yet will I trust Him".

I hear so many people say that God doesn't care about them because of their circumstances. We are a bunch of whiners! Most of those circumstances are brought on us all by ourselves and it's time somebody took some responsibility for their own actions.

He is faithful to work it all out for our good, we might not see it in this life, we might. No matter what, He is all-knowing and we are dust. He sees all and we see in part.

Trust Him!!

I am SO excited that God has called your husband. That is awesome! I will pray that He blesses your ministry and uses it to His glory!

Wasn't that the profound essence of Christ Himself! And it was done in love for us!

Praise His Holy Name!!!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
