It seems this will be a movie available sometime next year and it does have an advertisement at the end of this part, but its well worth the 15 or so minutes it takes to watch the video.. there is a part one if anyone is interested on the same site. It is on the emergent church, how doing things in the way of gimics and such to bring in others to Messiah really should not be done, the plain truth of scripture should be spoken and it is that truth that will bring others to Him.

I previously enjoyed this short video and passed it on in email to others. There is much more of this going on then most people are aware of and it has come into MANY denominations.

At the link you provided, it has a recently updated book called "Out of India" by Caryl Matrisciana that I read recently. It comes recommended as well.

I also have a 2 3/4 hour copy of "The Emerging Church" DVD done by the Concerned Nazarenes.

It was well done and applicable across the denominational board, not just the Nazarenes.

It appears all of it is online in 8 parts. They also mention that they will send a free copy of the DVD postage paid at the site.

Only with regard to the major revival happened on Azusa Street and lead to the varied ministries that could be influenced by that revival in one way or another. The influence may have been positive at the beginning but in many of the ministries they have changed and the influence has become lost as they become more leader centred and glorified.

If you noticed some of those speaking were Pentecostal so it was not negatively directed at Azusa Street.

The website is from people who see the 'people behind the scenes puppeting those in front' kinda thing. What is said is true, you start mixing and matching things from this religion and that religion and you get complete falsehoods. There will be a 'religion' dominating the world at the end of the age and it won't be christianity it will be a form of it mixed with the ones gone before, it will appease many in all religions.

The Azua street revial came about over the idea that speaking in tongues is the sign of the indwelling of the holy Spirit, something which scripture doesn't say at all. If we were there to witness these events many would be suggesting that it looked much like a Todd Bently show without the special effects and all. There was, I am postive, many who came to belief in Messiah from these things yet we find a lot of the the modern day jumping and wiggling on the ground, howling and barking type stuff comes directly from this revival. The revival did help to break down race barriors, I do believe God uses all kinds of things to reach the lost.

I don't want to hijack this thread, so I won't debate these specifics.

All I will say is that I personally disagree with tagging encounters with the Holy Spirit as "mysticism," just because it goes against our Western (Hellenistic) culture's intellectual reason and senses.

I know not all believe this.

But I was simply stating my concern for those who have had physically manifested encounters with the Lord.

Do not mistake my connecting the current group of emerging ministers with Azusa Street and the work of the Holy Spirit. I however disagree with imitating the Holy Spirit's work. Yet I fear judging that of which I do not personally know for fear it could truly be the Holy Spirit at work.
