after reading alot of posts here and I have answered a few but I realized that almost all of the topics are way over my head.. I aint no theologist or a genious, I am still learning about CHRIST and how to walk with HIM everyday..and after reading these posts I realize that I dont belong here.. I know nothing about anything that is being posted..I am ashamed of my self for not knowing enough to have a decent conversation woith anyone here.. I thought I could help people and learn more about GOD at the same time, but how can I help when I know nothing, or is it that I aint smart enough to understand anything other than the basics...I know that I have constant brain fog that keeps me from completing thoughts and understanding things but even wioth this problem there is no way I can any of this....oak

Oak I haven't met you yet............... I've had a lil break with house moving and all but you do belong.

I understand what you mean but honestly your life experience gives you what you need to have something to give to others. I'm no theologeon either but I do know what is in my heart and the experiences I have had that I can use to help others.

Please stick around and give me the chance to get to know you and show you that you do have something to offer others. My hubby Dan aka Man of Work spends time here as well and I'm sure he would like the opportunity to show you as well.

I looked at your profile and saw you are 41. In 41 years of being on this earth you would have an abundance of life experience be it good or bad you can use it all especially if you only became a christian not long ago.

Don't be ashamed everyone is still learning............. Even the ones that have been christians for a very long time. I'm almost 32 and became a christian at 13 and I too feel so inadequite at times. Don't ever think that what you have or know isn't enough there are peopl who come here that don't know Christ at all.................... YOU BELONG. :P:D:D

Oak, from speaking with you in chat, please let me assure you that you do belong. You can learn, as we all do, from just being here, asking questions or just lurking. You can contribute from your life experience too. That brain fog, I understand that it is rough for you, but please dont let that be a deterent to fellowship here. Just being here is a contribution to our fellowship. Please stay.

Do you know that everyone of those things can be used for good? People with pasts like yours can often be the greatest witness to another.

Have you turned from all those things and has the difficulties you face with your body stopped you from coming to God.

If you can survive all you have and end up being physically challenged AND still turn to God YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE!!!!!!

Failure is giving up............. Failure would be saying it is too hard to believe God could love me for all I have done and been..................... NOT A FAILURE AT ALL.

Don't ever think you are. The greatest testimonies come from people that are so hard to believe they could change their lives and turn to God............ Usually pasts like yours.

You HAVE so much to give.

You know what is great about the boards that doesn't happen in chat? You have the opportunity to sit back and read!!!! You don't have to try and keep up with the sometimes insanely fast pace of chat!!!

And guess what? Your past isn't your future. Look at Paul in the bible for crying out loud! Persecuting Christians to death. Then he is going to be a spokesman for Christ? Now there is a story for ya!

We can learn alot from you, even if you don't think so. And your barely a Christian faith can be encouraged and you can grow, see changes in your life and mind set that you never thought possible.

Please - if you have a question about something - start your own topic. Rules of that thread - KEEP IT SIMPLE! or Pm someone you see here who you think you could trust.

If God said even a child can understand what salvation means, the gospel has layers to understand. Don't worry about the layers you don't get.....scratch away at the ones you do...or that are closer to your understanding. God will give you more as you grow!

please stay. Chat, post, or pm. We welcome you. We would love to help you.

Blessings,

Will

My mom was here when I was posting and she wants me to tell you something.......

.....no matter how much of a failure you think you are, compared to the smartest people or richest people (pick someone famous and successfull), you are more of a success then someone who has gained the whole world, yet lost their own soul. Whatever condition you find yourself in at the moment, compared to the people who think they have everything, they one day will find that they have nothing. All the money in the world cannot buy salvation. Whereas you have made correctly the only decision worth making in this world.

Jesus died to save mankind, he would have died just for you. That is how precious you are to God.

Willow said it. This is where you should start.....knowing who Christ is and knowing who you are in Christ.

Many of us come from backgrounds we are not proud of but so was Paul. He use to kill christains before he got saved.......he has even called himself the worst of christians. However Paul had a revelation of who he was in Christ.

Phil 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Hang in there......we are.

In his love,

Brian

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
