I don't know much about the other gospels. The gospels many people claim are about Jesus teachings but are not found in the current Bible. Who decided wich gospels where to be included and wich where not to be included? How can you trust that other gospels are not true? Thanks

If you are really serious about knowing the answer, I would suggest going to your local Chrisitan bookstore and acquiring some books on how the biblical canon was formulated and why many "gospels" were not included. In short, as I understand it, the books we have included in the Bible are those written by men who had direct contact with Jesus. Books written by those after His death are not in the Canon. This is not the story as a whole, but is in brief.

Thanks You don't need to know anything about them except they were excluded because they were NOT inspired by God. As a seeker, you should spend your time with the recognized Holy Bible and not waste your time with spurious materials. I suggest that you start with the beautiful book of John. The first thing you need is Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, and John is a beautiful introduction to Jesus Christ, who He is, and what He did. However only the 4 gospels we have were widely accepted without challenge. Matthew and John were apostles. Luke was a historian and traveling companion of Paul. Mark got his account directly from the apostle Peter. The other gospels were easily recognized as fogeries because of their teachings ( like the famous gospel of Thomas which says women must become men to enter heaven ) and psedopigraphical, meaning they were NOT written by the titles attributed to them. The biggest MYTH about the cannon is that books were removed from the bible. In truth, no such thing has ever happened. The books in the bible were included only after much discussion and examination, but NO BOOK has ever been included and then removed.

Peter stated this when he was alive... Jesus states: scriptures are they which testify of Me. John 5:

Look into the many councils and how the books were chosen and by whom.
