I shouda kept up with this one. Never catch up now.......... :sad030:

We went a little deep here, sorry. I am looking at things I never have seen, but Paul had his own gospel given to him and separated the Gospel of Christ from it which he also preached. I never saw that before, but Golden Eagles Question brought this up.

So, fell free to look and add, as I don't have it sorted yet, but just see something.

Jesus Is Lord.

Paul was taught by the Holy Spirit. How could he have a different gospel than Jesus? He has the same, but also remember what Christ said about the teachings of the Holy Spirit in John 16:12-15

I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.

What the Holy Spirit taught to Paul is nothing different that what Jesus taught.

I've heard it said like this before by a man that God has Indwelled Mightily For His Glory...Preach the Gospel and The Gospel will happen...My my

Now...I just want to share this...Stephen...This was the most beautiful post I have ever read that you wrote...and I apologize for not being able to get to the very end...but when the thread had to be stepped into to bring some peace well I kinda stopped right there...but I had grabbed this one...

Steven:

Mike all I have done is lay myself before everyone here naked as nothing hidden... it is my heart

as I am being formed from God's Word. I do the same only with words like songs to Him or Scripture

quoted or thanksgiving for that which is around me... Mike you know we will all give an accounting to

The Lord

We will give an account, let every man be fully persuaded in that which he does, or allows and it is work for the Kingdom and pleasing to God. We work out our own safety, healing, protection, walk with God, (Salvation) before the Lord.

Let not my faith in one thing condemn another, nor their faith overshadow what the lord has revealed to me, and condemn me. All done to his Glory, whatever that is done.

There is so much I don't Know Steven, just when I think I know, I only know a little, and may God gives us Grace, and wisdom concerning all things.

your blessed Brother!!! Your writings since I first seen have shown more and more maturity in the Lord, I hope all of us follow after that example, always learning, always listening, always seeking.

Jesus is Lord.

Thank you for the blessing Mike... As all of us are in the last of days-> which means little time left to gather for Our Lord His Glory due Him...

Soon we who are born of Him shall see His Face - He will be so beautiful to me... The One Who never sinned, the Holy Lamb of God, The Holy One

of Israel, Lord of Lord and King of Kings, Our Friend... I want Him so much to come and get us but help me to be busy while I'm yearning!!! Love, Steven

Lord...We are each one in Your Loving Care...Do with us as You Will...I Pray In The Name of Jesus...Thank You Lord...For This Thread Is For Your Glory and Will Allow Your Truths...I Thank You Right Now For You Have Given Us A Comforter...That Leads and Guides Us Into All Truth...Thank You That You Have Given Me Different Kinds of Tongues...That You Can Use Anytime, Anywhere...and Thank You for The Wisdom That You Have Given Also the Interpretation of those...To Another However You Have Given The Gift of Interpretation For The Church As A Whole...Thank You That You Gave That Gift to My Pastor...

Loving My Lord and My God and His Children Always and Forever...And Draw Your Children, O God, I Pray...

Onelight:

Paul was taught by the Holy Spirit. How could he have a different gospel than Jesus? He has the same, but also remember what Christ said about the teachings of the Holy Spirit in John 16:12-15

God bless Brother. That is a very good question, I don't have the answer. I heard a word of faith preach years ago say that Paul loved the gospel so much, he called it his gospel.

That never set right with me for some reason. Paul would not take ownership of something that the Lord Jesus preached. I had no answer though.

Now years later, Golden eagle brings up the question about preaching the full gospel, if they don't preach in tongues.

After searching I find that Paul spoke of the gospel of the Anointing,(Gospel of Christ) much different than his gospel. His gospel was repentance from dead works, the resurrection, Baptism, and things personally revealed to just him. In fact, Paul's gospel seemed to include doctrine that was essential to the body of Christ, but not the power of the Holy Spirit. The gospel of Christ.

This is what I saw in the Word Onelight as I was trying to answer Golden Eagles question, it just jumped at me, and brought back that comment about Paul's Gospel years ago. Paul would never take credit for the Anointing, the Gospel of the anointing (Christ) yet would take credit for his contribution to what he had written and been revealed.

So, if there be anything I just saw it, and if it not be anything, then Amen. I don't know Brother.

Onelight:

What the Holy Spirit taught to Paul is nothing different that what Jesus taught.

There would be no difference of course, the same Spirit, one and the same. Just (Possibly) what was expound more thoroughly with Paul concerning the Church. Hence, why Paul took ownership of His Gospel. Jesus operated in the power of the anointing, and to the Jews, He set the 12 to usher in the Church as he blessed everyone that would believe on (their) word for the church. John 17 I believe.

Once again, I don't know.

Jesus Is Lord.

The anointing that was on Jesus is also with those who follow Him. The anointing is the Holy Spirit. The difference is, Jesus is God and we are not, so we stumble and do not follow His leading like Christ did.

What Paul learned is what God brought to him through His Spirit. Nothing Paul teaches is any different than the teaching of Jesus, since Jesus is God. Trying to divide the two is not scriptural, for Paul is part of His body just as we are.

Paul wrote about the anointing more than any other Apostle. Read 1 Corinthians for starters. I see that you are just looking into this, so may I suggest that you take more time in studying.

The gift of tongues is for every single believe that will seek, and find. It's a major blessing, and powerful to one's own personal prayer life.

That is where we are at.

Ok, well here is what I see ...and yes, I am using see as in LOOK....so, this is where I, personally am.

The biblical unction would actually be to pray to be filled with the HOLY SPIRIT period. Forget tongues or anything else. Far too much

is being made about tongues and I see this as a detraction from what scripture actually states. The people in the New Testament

asked to be filled with the Holy Spirit and the apostles knew they were filled BECAUSE they spoke in tongues.

The tongues were evidence of being filled and being filled is the objective...not speaking in tongues..tongues is evidence

of the occurrence

Tongues is not really the issue...the issue is being filled with the Holy Spirit so we will have power to witness and live for our

Savior. THAT is the reason for being filled and God dispenses the gifts as He will, through His Spirit.

Personally, I did ask to speak in tongues but ONLY if that was what God had for me...we have moved on from there

The op of this thread is simply 'speaking in tongues' but it is really about being filled and about 'be ye being filled' which is what

the Bible states....

The issue of tongues is obscuring a bigger truth in my opinion, at this moment

That's fine Onelight, I just posted that Paul made a difference in "His" gospel and what it included and the gospel of the anointing. If nobody else see's it, then amen. All good with me. The post came from looking and studying BTW. I don't want to start a new thing, or debate this, I just made what I thought was an observation.

This is not a new thing, Mike. It is from what you claimed.

In fact, Paul's gospel seemed to include doctrine that was essential to the body of Christ, but not the power of the Holy Spirit. The gospel of Christ.

Oh please Mike. Give it a rest. I think you are thrashing things that need some thinking on.

Not said condescendingly...but have you noticed your ability to turn up in every thread within 15 min of a post? Have you recently

had too much caffeine? Notice the purple guy... but I'm serious

Do we want to be filled with tongues (like there is not too much talking going on here already) or the Holy Spirit?

I don't care if little Joey in tim buck too thinks it means other than what it actually means...we can't cover everyone else's

bases...mind reading is not recommended ....good night...sleep tight :)

Oh Brother Mike...so agree with what you wrote...If I could just take ya'll to church with me this morning...See this is the proof I spoke about earlier...Preach The Gospel and The Gospel Happens...Something has happened to my Pastor...I think it's because I'm being taught and The Holy Spirit is Indwelling Mightily The Word!!! My Pastor was on fire this morning!!! Preaching Jesus Heals!!! Called for the hurting that needed healing come up to the altar...I ran to the altar...The Power that came out of him almost knocked me down...My body is brand new again...My my...and then the man in the wheelchair...not sure (an accident)...we were to pray for him...I know he has the faith to come up out of that wheelchair!!! I touched the lady in front of me that had her hands on him...my hands were on fire!!! Whew...That's what I'm talking about...How? On my face before God for a very long time...in the quiet secret place...It just proves the other part that has been spoken about...Do you know that we are actually crying and yearning for The Work of The Holy Spirit...upon the earth...so many of us need Him!!! Whew...

I just want to add something...and this was so hard for me to understand at first...see us humans are very vain...we think its all about us...But it isn't...It's all about Him...We were really made for His Good Pleasure!!! Indwell me, Lord...For Your Purpose and Glory!!! Wow...

My my...I'm just listening to a song on youtube that has just opened my heart and laid me bare before Him...In Awe...The words: I've got a river of Life flowing out of me...Makes the lame to walk and makes the blind to see...

NeedYouLord

Stephen truly seeks, is open, and praise God for him. Let us each go deeper into the things of Christ, the Power of the anointing and understand what each of us can walk in, according to the graces of God.

Jesus Is Lord

Loving you In Him, Kathy

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
