JESUS TAUGHT ONE VERY IMPORTANT THING ABOVE ALL, CONCERNING HOW HUMANS SHOULD BEHAVE.

above all things we must treat our neighbors as ourselves, to love them as we would be loved.

for it is written there will never be a law against the way of love... and such is the reason of these things concerning doctrines handled in the wisdoms of men for generations...

humans make errors, entire communities make errors, that distort the truth to things for all... kings and added laws were both man's ideas... throw doctrine out the window if it gets too confusing, grab up humility and love, wear them as a cloak upon your sould, and go to your prayer for place and seek guidence, or take your first order from the throne room of God yourself.

then, any question about doctrine Goes to God first, before we seek them on the net. Then, usually, we get our confirmation in the places we go... if not, ask again, or... P.U.S.H. (pray until something happens.)

Hi StudentOfLife,

Glad you came to WBs. Welcome.

These three remain, faith hope and love, but the greatest of these is love.

Sometimes all we know is love and young christians sometimes put those who have been around awhile to shame. Sound doctrine is something that Paul warned us to hold fast. Doctrine is the "body" of what we believe to be true about God and His Word. Without doctrine we christians are no different that budhists, muslims, hindus, etc.

I started this discussion and it did get alittle off base which kind of proves my point.

Unity at the cost of dictrine will not fly. You must know the Word of God you must abide by it and if no one will listen to the truth well the Lord knows who is His and Who is not.

The False teachers and Preachers will one day stand before the Lord and His final words to them will be "Depart from me I never knew you " Cold chilling words.....

Unity can not be had when there is so much doctrinal differnces from the differnt denominations so when I hear some preacher say Unity Unity Unity I say to myself Yup In Heaven....................

The one thing that I find is that the discussion will either get you into the Word or will drive you proudfully on your stubon way unwilling to bend or let the Holy Spirit convict.

(not talking about this board but in general)

The discussion has been fruitful and has made us all look at the Word of the Lord closer I hope............

So the fact that there are some out there who call themsleves christian, they are not my brother and sister in the Lord and never will be. The Truth of Gods Word is our guide and the Holy Spirit our teacher regardless what someone says........

Yes we can be labled judgemental or a black and white believer (believeing the Word of God is Black and White) but to stand for the truth will make the World hate us

Let the World hate me I am a blood bought born again card carrieng bible believing child of the Living God. No man can change that with his words or his deeds.

Hugs to each of you

well said!!!

We are all human and prone to fail for sure but we have an advocate in the Lord Jesus and He is our sure hope.

I don;t have all the answers gosh I don't know most of the questions but I do know that when we with honest heart seek the Lords truth We will get it if we listen to the Holy Spirit!!!!!!

As for th baptisem I will leave that up to the Lord and the things that I know are wrong

like Jesus having to suffer in hell at the hands of satan I will rebuke and rest in the knowledge that the Word says there will be false prophets and teachers

Back to the original question if it makes you seek His Word for the truth then God Bless if still searching listen to the Holy Spirit and let God look at your heart when you just don't know...........We all have doubts we all have faults and we are all sinners but if we stay in HIS Word and learn His Truth how can we fail!!!!!

OK - I'm a little unsure about your statement here.

DIME and I can look at the same Scriptures and somehow have a different perspective on baptism.

(For instance, the Eucharist being the consumation makes absolutely no sense to me - how can a small part of the Passover celebration which the Lord told us to take in rememberance of Him be turned into a sealing of the relationship???)

But that to me is not grounds for my discounting him as a brother in Christ!

We've both been baptised, we both take communion - just our perceptions have altarations for whatever reason.

What makes such doctrinal differences grounds for considering another as a "tare" rather than another stalk of wheat?

We call mormans JW's seven day adentest cults but God fobide we name names in the christian world.

Benny Hinn Copeland Haggen and all the rest of them are false teachers preachers, but you can't say that you get "touch not God's annointed"

They are not my brothers or sistes in Christ

The teach preach a differnt gospel and a differnt Jesus

Can you call some one your brother who says Jesus did not end it on the Cross that He had to suffer in Hell at the hands of Satan?? Show me in the bible where it says that.

Can youy call some one brother who denys the Trinity.

Can you call someone brother who tells you if you dont speak in toungs you are not saved

Can you call some one brother who says Greed is scriptual and if you are poor it is because you have sin in your life or you don't have enogh faith to get what you want (never mind God may not want it for you)_

Can you call someone brother who says that their chuch is the only right church

as to the catholic church well there is so much unscripual stuff there I won't get started and I know what they believe I was one.

Just because they are popular does not make them right when they go against the Word of God

a few web articals to check out

agree dissagree its up to you, but you can not have unity and false doctrine it just will not happen there are to many christians who stand on the Word of God not on the word of man.........

read the first one if no other..........

Counting baptism as an essential part of salvation denies the complete atonement and sufficiency in Christ's sacrifice. Baptised or not..if a person is relying on anything other than the blood of Christ to save them they are deceived and should be shown their error. Salvation is an essential issue.

"When Jesus cried, 'It is finished!' He was not speaking of the plan of redemption. There were still three days and nights to go through before He went to the throne

OK, so that's what your post was about?

You know, when you talk doctrine, one most naturally thinks of Christian denominations: Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, Interdenominational, . . . .

I don't know of too many Christians who would acknowledge Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormans as being "in Christ." That's more than just 'doctrine" - they are completely different religions!

As for "false teachers" within a Christian church or organization or ministry, I have learned to be careful about trying to separate wheat from tares. It is possible for a genuine born-again believer to be deceived into believing the wrong things. Yes, it is dangerous when that person is in the place of teaching and/or leading. Yet, I have to extend a measure of grace, knowing that "there but for the grace of God go I." It could just as easily be me caught in promoting the wrong thing.

Do I lose my salvation because I have come to believe the wrong thing? Or because I fall into temptation?

No, I oppose their teaching and their practice. But to "play God" and claim whether or not their names are written in the Book of Life - that is not for me to judge.

God forbid I should be so proud.

"Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
