I have my troubles Bud but for the most part I have a lot of things about my life that I really like and am not ready to give up. Sometimes when I wake up and the sun is shining and the sky is blue it just makes me happy to be alive. Another thing is I don't want to live thru the great tribulation especially since my son is an insulin dependent diabetic. I don't want to watch him die before my eyes because he can't get insulin (I'm sure a mark would be required for that). I know it says in the Bible to pray that you are not alive during the end times but I can't remember where it's at, and I have to get back to work.

Here is and interesting commentary on Daniel from 1825 -

  • Da 8:13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
    Adam Clarke's Commentary:
Verse 13. One saint speaking, and another saint said] One angel asked another how long the sanctuary was to be trodden down?

14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
    Adam Clarke's Commentary:
Verse 14. Unto two thousand and three hundred days] Though literally it be two thousand three hundred evenings and mornings. Yet I think the prophetic day should be understood here, as in other parts of this prophet, and must signify so many years. If we date these years from the vision of the he-goat, (Alexander's invading Asia,) this was A.M. 3670, B.C. 334; and two thousand three hundred years from that time will reach to A.D. 1966, or one hundred and forty-one years from the present A.D. 1825

The date for Alexandra is actually 334-333 B.C. which would make the fulfillment date 1966 to 1967 . . .

Adam Clarke interpreted this verse when more than 120 years before the rebirth of Israel . . . which followed the conclusion of WWII when America called down fire from heaven on earth for all the world to see with the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki . . . to which the world responded who is able to make war against that.

Coincident? Or prophesy?

Revelation 13-19:4 speaks of the final judgement of the LAST of a concessions of spiritual "Babylons." To understand who the 8th spiritual Babylon is, we need to give heed to the clues given by the angel to John in chapter 17.

  • Re 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

First, we know that the beast "was, and is not, and yet is." That phrase tells us that there was going to be a point in time when this "seven headed beast" was not going to be represented by a physical country. Yet, after the passage of time the beast would again "rise up out of the sea" and exist briefly as the seventh head, and then ultimately as a final beast (country) that would be "THE EIGHT... and goeth into perdition," or complete destruction.

John beheld in his vision "another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns of a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exercises all the power [authority] of the first beast... and he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire (The Bomb) come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men." (vrs.11-13). This second beast that looks like a lamb (having two horns) and SEEMS to be for peace, "exercises ALL the authority of the first" is none other than the office of the Presidency. Yet while he seems to be for peace, His mouth is really speaking the agenda of the dragon.

The revelation of the rise of the 8th Beast begins in Rev. 13 and in that passage there is no mention of the woman sitting upon the beast at the time of it's coming to "his power, and his seat, and great authority." Chapters 14 and 15a speak of the iniquities of the beast and of the judgement that would befall it in chapters 15b and 16.

This vision so overwhelmed the Apostle that in chapter 17 the angel clarifies what he had seen, as well as why and how her judgement would come. Chapters 18 and 19 speak of the absolute destruction and glory given to God for His righteous judgements.

It seems to me that when the 8th Beast first rose to its might, there was a separation between the beast (civil) and the woman (religious). Or simply, a separation between church and state. BUT, in order for the civil government to do what it is prophesied to do in the last days, initiate a new economic system, it will need the support of the religious sector, or faith based organizations, to assure that such an economic system is ok.

Seeing how the church/religious systems have allowed herself/themselves to be regulated by the civil authorities in order to enjoy tax exempt status, she/they will feel obliged to assure her populace that the new economic structure is not "the mark of the beast." This will not be difficult to do for the whoring daughters of confused Babylon have perpetuated many false end time doctrines and have "waxed worst, deceiving and being deceived." Our adversary has spued out a flood out of his mouth of these false end time message and doctrines with which he might cause the true Church to be carried away with the flood of error that is rampant in these other whoring churches, who are serving mammon instead of God and compromise the God's Truth for their attendance, lest they offend the contributors

Just as God always had His civil leaders and His spiritual leaders, so the devil has imitated this structural order of God in his attempt to deceive and defeat God's people. . . hence the beast AND the woman which rides it. They will selfishly merge, becoming "one" in heart and purpose, because of their greed for filthy mammon in these final days. Not unlike the nation of Israel back when she rejected her Redeemer.

If so, where?

I believe that the USA in not mentioned in Biblical prophecy because America will become a second rate power in just one day...

...because of the Rapture.

The United States is a Christian nation. Imagine the effect on the country when all of the Christians vanish!

That is why, I believe, that the bulk of Biblical prophecy is centered on Europe and the Middle East.

Thoughts?

Bud,

The United States of America did not exist when the prophecies in the Bible were written, so it is not mentioned by name. Nonetheless, that does not mean it is not mentioned at all. As you must know, so much of End Times prophecy is subject to interpretation, including the timing of Christ's return and the "rapture" of the church. I have read that there will be two Babylon's in the last days, one of which is considered a "mystery" Babylon. There are many speculations as to who that Babylon is, one of which is the USA. Personally, I believe the USA fits the description of Babylon in the book of Revelation and in the book of Habakkuk, which I believe could also be taken as End Times prophecy.

My personal belief is that God is in the process of judging the earth right now and that it kind of parallels the conquest of Canaan by the Israelites led by Joshua. And, the conquest of Canaan ended with the children of Israel entering the Promised Land where they settled. Jesus is our Joshua and he is leading the charge right now in the conquest of this land and God is pouring out his judgments one battle at a time. And, he will lead us into our Promised Land. I believe these judgments will culminate with one really big battle, whether something God does in nature or whether it is a war of some kind, I do not know. I think a good portion of the USA will be taken out, and that will make the way for a one-world order and the entry of the seven years of tribulation. I have read others' writings that had similar beliefs as to how this is all going to come down, so I am not alone in this.

I believe that believers will live through the tribulation and that there will be survivors of this destruction of the USA and that we will form Christian communities that will be much like the Acts 2 church. And, I believe the Lord showed me all of this, because he wants me to help prepare people for this eventuality. He wants people to repent of their sins and turn to God. The church is in crisis - the crisis of the Supremacy of Jesus Christ. I think God is going to shake things up in America in order to bring about revival and to prepare people for the time of tribulation.

America could indeed be included in the Prophet Ezekiel's words (Ezekiel 38:13a) re "with all its young lions." This particular sea-going power of Tarshish, if with reference to Great Britain - as many commentators have expressed - could mean North America (USA & Canada) which were formerly British colonies or pro-British in earlier times. Only a thot.

I disagree that the true Church of Jesus Christ will enter the Tribulation which is said to be a time of JACOB'S trouble, not the Church's. The true Church - as opposed to the falsde enmd-times church - has been "saved from the wrath to come," and "therefore there is no condemnation (judgment) to those which are in Christ Jesus." Why would God save His people from final judgment then subject them to it after all?

I also think that "Mystery Babylon" has reference to an end-times worldwide - widely accpted and applauded - religion of blasphemy which curses the Lord Jesus Christ, His Holy & settled Word of Truth, and denigrates His Spirit-filled ambassadors of light. Actually, one can see all this shaping up, and even in action TODAY on the religious "all-ways-are-true" front. Religion is "acceptable" but not REDEMPTION by the blood of Christ! The new god of the 21st.Century is - hold your breath - MAN HIMSELF!! To be sure then, this old world is "cruisin' for a bruisin'! REPENT! REPENT!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
