God allows bad things or evil to happen because He respects the freedom of all His creatures. The fact that God permits evil is a mystery that God illuminates by his Son Jesus Christ who died and rose to vanquish evil.

Could it be, that it's not God Allowing, because to Allow something when you have power to stop it, is in a way condoning it. If I saw a small child crawling to the edge of the swimming pool, and did nothing but watch the baby drown, would I be a fault somehow?

Could it be that man is trying to judge God? That child crawling to the edge of the swimming pool is seen by Him and by some power God placed you there to save the child, yet, man being more concerned for His own safety allows the child to drown, even thought the spirit with-in the man tells him to save the child? Be not fooled, we all will be judged for what we do and for what we refuse to do in this life.

The above talk about Paul, I do not see Paul as being a man that was always calling out to God to take away the troubles of the world from him. I think Paul was a man that knew Jesus, and understood that the life he lived was something that would end and feared not, for mans life is but a moment in time and those who believe in Jesus will live forever. I do not see Paul complaining about the things He suffered, in fact, while he was in Prison in Rome I see Paul Praising God, and thanking those members of a church for sending him the gifts he needed. Paul went to Roman to preach, he was now a prisoner chained to guards, that He could share the Word of God with. A captive audience have you, for the spreading for the Word of God. Paul letter were full of JOY, yet he was in chains.....think about that for a while....how many men today would write such a letter to his home church....2 years, Paul was cahined to a Roman soldiers. God can get you Joy no matter what..

Php 1:1 Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the overseers and deacons:

Php 1:2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Php 1:3 I thank my God every time I remember you.

Php 1:4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy

Php 1:5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now,

Php 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Php 1:7 It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart; for whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God's grace with me.

Php 1:8 God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

Php 1:9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,

Php 1:10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ,

Php 1:11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

Php 1:12 Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel.

I do not have to understand the why, to Trust God with the what. What is it that God wants me to do, save the child.

A different perceptive...Dennis

This is exactly why people come to crazy weird doctrinal positions and thoughts about God. Because they can't fathom the thought that God actually allows the baby to fall in the pool and drown though he could stop it from happening. But alas it is true. God knew it was going to happen, could have prevented it but did not.

God could have protected Job's kids... But He didn't. God allows things to happen that we don't understand. But there is a purpose. We may not understand it or like it but who are we to judge God?

Exactly. Gods judgments and actions or inactions are all based on perfect knowledge and understanding of the ultimate end of all things. God has separated the first six days (6000 years approx.) which are imperfect from the seventh perfect rule followed by the eighth of total perfection with light and darkness being eternally separated and all enemies such as death defeated by God himself. It is all to easy for us as created beings to get caught up in trying to judge that which we do not fully understand by that which we think we know. But God's word stands true:

Job 38:2 Who [is] this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

I believe it appropriate for all of us to raise our hands.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
