Is Mr. Cain the individual who is wrapped up lock, stock & barrel in the charismatic "heavenly gibberish" of the Vineyard sect?

Thanks Arthur for the link. I know nothing of Mr.cain. Though I will look into it. I will also pray for him. Arthur please reconsider promoting Crown FinancialMinistries. Makes me think of a video that blockbuster is renting out. Its called "The Prayer of Jabez". I couldnt sit through the whole thing. It seems it is based on the premise that if Jebez got what he wanted by asking for it we should all be asking. Personally I think this can only serve to encourage greed and selfishness. There seems to be a wave of folks ministering these principals. Instead of going out and helping others they will pray for themselves.

Here is the excerpt from Rick Joyner's website about Paul Cain:

----------------

Paul Cain has been used mightily by the Lord to touch many lives in our times. He is esteemed by many around the world as a major prophetic voice and as a spiritual father. It would be hard to estimate the number who have been healed, delivered, or saved through his ministry. We have especially benefited from his friendship and ministry in too many ways to count. It is therefore with great sorrow that we publish the following.

In February 2004, we were made aware that Paul had become an alcoholic. In April 2004, we confronted Paul with evidence that he had been recently involved in homosexual activity. Paul admitted to these sinful practices and was placed under discipline, agreeing to a process of restoration which the three of us would oversee.

However, Paul has resisted this process and has continued in his sin. Therefore, after having exhausted the first two steps of Matthew 18:15-17, we now have a responsibility to bring this before the church. Our sincere hope remains to see Paul restored. We are deeply committed to Galatians 6:1, which states,

Amen!

Thank you for that explanation. I will pray that he finds his way back to the path he once walked. When temptation meets oportunity only God can save us from ourselves.

May God's light shine in you brighter than the sun.

(1 Cor 6:3 KJV) Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

(1 Cor 6:4 KJV) If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

(1 Cor 6:5 KJV) I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

This tragity could have been, should have been avoided. We (the church) have allowed a terrible sin to become accepted practice, the exaulting of men above what is right, and this unloving practice sets these brethren up for a great fall, and when they fall, there is great damage.

Our center stage gospel presentation, complete with long and foolish introductions of men, the show must go on attitude, and ministers that are media stars or otherwise exaulted is a receipe for disaster.

I went to Metro several times (I had dear ones that attended there) and I warned them that the uplifting of certain men was a house of cards that couldn't stand the days to come. I am not trying to say anything against Paul Cain, I am saying that the practice itself needs to be stopped.

(Rom 12:3 KJV) For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

(Rom 12:4 KJV) For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

(Rom 12:5 KJV) So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

(Rom 12:6 KJV) Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

In America we have created a cast system of Ministry in the upper cast and everyone else in the lower cast, and this is an abomination. Of course included in the upper cast is music ministry, praise teams (worship cheerleaders), and anyone else willing to be lifted up above the rest of the brethren.

(1 Cor 4:6 KJV) And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

(1 Cor 4:7 KJV) For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

I know greatly talented Christian musicians, wonderful preachers, excellent teachers, and many other leaders that are very talented and precious. Just the fact that the Lord sets such in visible positions could cause problems, so lots of prayer needs to be made BY them and FOR them, and there MUST be people that are just Christian, no particular talent, that serve in accountability matters. Such a person has no agenda of their own, and is more likely to point out when the emperor has no clothes on.

These three brethren (Rick Joyner, Jack Deere, Mike Bickle) failed in their efforts on behalf of Paul Cain SPECIFICALLY because they all elevated Paul above their own far too high status, so that they actually created a 3rd super cast, in which only a rare few (Paul Cain and Bob Jones) could even fit. Both fell into homosexuality, what does that tell you? (I understand that Bob Jones repented and is walking upright, FYI)

Yes, we need to pray for these precious souls, but we also need to tear down the bizarre thing that has been built that creates such a mess. I think Jesus would certainly NOT join many on stage for the gospel extravaganza, and would instead stop at your house or in your neighborhood, and His grace would cause all to come to Him, and He would free them from their sins.

Interesting point.

But if you think about it - the exaltation of "famous people" (singers, musicians, actors, any other spotlight position) is a spiritual stronghold of our society.

Mind you, I am not justifying the Church falling into this same action. What I am pointing out is that this is a major stronghold that, unfortunately, we've not been effective at dealing with and coming out of.

Yes, that ministry has erred in this matter - but if you think about it, don't we all?

(Again, not trying to detract form the topic at hand, just trying to offer a little balance.)

I believe all of us need to repent of this exaltation of stars and artists and spotlight preachers and others we deem of "spiritual superiority" based on gifts or position or whatever. ;)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
