The Final Judgment

I believe some of our heavenly reward involves crowns to lay at Jesus' feet (let no man steal your crown) possibly, if the Lord asks you to do something and you don't, someone else gets the job and the reward.  I also think since we will rule and reign with Christ some of our rewards will be as rulers over the earth.   (JMO)

I have been reading the Book of

1 Cor 3:13 every mans work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire, and the fire shall try every mans work of what sort it is

14 if any mans work abide (last) which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward

15 if any mans work shall be burned (of no affect; didnt last) he shall suffer loss, but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire

So it doesnt seem that it is "quantity" of work--but it is "quality" of work which matters.

One could witness to a hundred, but none were saved by it.

Another could witness to 2, and both were saved by it.

Which of these would receive any rewards?

The one who was effective; not the one trying to chalk up numbers.

wordsower--I agree, some may receive a reward which will be a meaningful position in "government" in the New Kingdom on earth.  I believe God is already looking at how we think; whether we are fair, honest, impartial, have good judgement, our motives, how we think, etc.

Anybody ever feel like you're being "watched" when u handle something?

29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

Luke 22:29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;

30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Rev 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Rev 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

26  And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

Luke 19:17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

Phil 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

What is that prize?

It is to rule with Christ  for eternity, being an Apostle found faithful unto death. To have part in the first resurrection.

Heb 11:35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

Rev 2:26 He that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

In the millennium reign of Christ, we will have a theocratic form of government. That is government by God through His appointed servants of which Jesus Christ is the corner stone. There will be world government by Jesus Christ and those of us that He appoints because of our faithfulness to the written word.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Heb 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

In fact, after the great white throne judgement,  this kingdom will continue on into eternity without end.  It is the restored throne of David.

Revelation 20:4-6

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God,

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God,

Even though the two translations have different wording they say the same thing to me. That being that there is a distinction being made between those that are sitting on the thrones and the souls that had been beheaded for their witness of/to Jesus.

Does everyone else see it like this?

Revelation 20:6

6Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

So having been told that all who will take part in the first resurrection will be judged and that some will receive a greater reward than others, does this verse say that some will be priests and others who receive a greater reward shall receive crowns and thrones and rule nations? Are these the greater and lesser rewards?

I would just like to thank you all for all your giving.  This has been quite an emotional rollercoster ride for me.
