I'm thinking more along the lines in modern terms.

Natural occurences v's occurences because of man and their quest for profit and war.

How do you conclude there being a difference using the bible? Where does the bible distinguish that we need to use 'modern' terms?

How you receive my words is due to your perception and not any aggression on my part. It would have been much different if we were in person as you would have seen my complete body language and inflection. I simply had simple questions seeking understanding.

My simple ponderings was, without God's judgement in the equation, I wonder whether this sinkhole that took this mans life was due to human circumstances in the way of mining, military weapons testing etc....underground occurence.

Florida is basically limestone which dissolves and causes the sinkholes. I read that there were 16 or so known sinkholes within a mile of their home. And thousands known in florida alone (50,000 or 15,000, I cant remember).
