Dear One this is all that matters in red.

People will dissapoint you. Men's wisdom will fail.

You are born again and of Christ? Adopted into God's family? That is enough.

1 Cor. 1:10-17

10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.” 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

14 I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 lest anyone should say that I had baptized in my own name. 16 Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Besides, I do not know whether I baptized any other. 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

1 Cor. 3:18-123

18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness”; [a] 20 and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.”[b] 21 Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours: 22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come—all are yours. 23 And you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.

God bless you sister!

In Christ,

GE

All of the men you named have one major thing in common, they are all Calvinist or heavily influenced by Augustine/ Calvinist teachings. I love Ian Paisley though. I love John Mac as well, but have been very slow to forgive him for belittling the precious blood of Christ, which he has since said he didn't mean it the way it came out. Not a huge Washer fan, but he claims the Lord so I will not disrespect him. Like GE said, we should keep men in proper perspective, and try everything they teach by the word of God.

Yes I am born again, and thank you for the reminder not to follow men. That is soooo not me lol. I often can't even find a church for just that reason...which is why I often like to listen to sermons on youtube, and while I haven't listened to all, there have been many from these fellas I like. It seems many dont like these guys as they call them lordship salvation, that they dont preach grace saving, but by works. I haven't gotten this from them at all. What I have got is that when you are truly saved, you become a new creature, and this is so very evident in my own life and thus you start to live with the purpose of pleasing God. And no you cant do it by works(our righteousness is as filthy rags) but your works or fruits will show it all on their own. I see nothing wrong with this view. And it does explain why so many can call themselves Christian and yet their fruits are not Christ like at all. We all know people like this. And all of this is in scripture as well(which is my guideline when listening to sermons) . I was unaware about the John Mac comment, I will have to check that out and see.

We are influenced in some way by everyone we come across Those whom we discuss scripture with influence us in our walk with Christ, be it a child or an adult. I have learned more as a result from one question from a child than an hours worth of theology from an adult. I guess it all depends on how it causes one to dig into scripture for the truth.

I like Ian Paisley for his stand of a particular heresy, that I will not mention, but I have never heard him in the pulpit. He is quite a character.

If we're talking youtube I've liked listening to Matt Chandler and Robert Morris. Their doctrine is very grace-filled and Christ centered IMO. Another one I enjoy is Rick Warren.

Are there no Bible churches in your area or did you recently move?

Yup! Dig into God's Word. That's the best thing to do. There's some good Bible teachers out there but there can be some very wacked out ones as well. Always compare what people claim is truth to God's Word and seek God's Holy Spirit for discernment.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
