yod,

amen

He is the revelation of what Shabbat is speaking of.

Not quite accurate. He is the Sabbath.

....does this mean we should ignore the commandments which He gave?

Commandment (singular). (Found at 1 John 3:23)

This is incorrect Wordsower. There is NO new earth during the Millenium. The New Heaven and New Earth do not begin until AFTER the millenium. During the millenium we will be observing the Sabbath on the seventh day of the week whether anyone likes it or not. You also need to compare this with the last nine chapters of Ezekiels which outline that sacrificical system being reinstated, all of the Festivals being celebrated and the Sabbaths and the New Moons. All of this will occur during the millenium. We will still have solar days, and a Torah-based theocracy WILL be established everyone WILL comply with it.

Shiloh,

You are confusing the New Jerusalem with the new earth. Don't have time to post all of those scriptures here right now.

You also confuse Israel with the church.

Exodus 31:12-18, God makes this very clear. "And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 13Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.

14Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 15Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. 16Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. 17It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed."

You're going to say you're Jewish, but in Christ there is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, we are one and we are His body.

But it also seems during this time God will re-institute animal sacrifice, Hosea 3:4 and Zechariah 14:21.

So, under your reasoning we must sacrifice now also.

When God prophesied of the day when he would pour out his Spirit, it was said, "This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing

The new Heaven and New Earth do not begin until AFTER the millenium.

They have both begun aleady: "behold, I create.." Is 65:17.. Can't behold what isn't made.

During the millenium we will be observing the Sabbath on the seventh day of the week whether anyone likes it or not.

The OT Sabbath in prophecy is simply symbolic language (couched in the language of the Jew), referring to Christ. Christ is now our Sabbath, and we have rested. God is not concerned with physical work or rest, but with resting from trying to earn your salvation. (Heb 4:10).

Those who think to rest as the Jews do on Saturday, are ironically, working. Man is always happy to follow an idea he feels he can do. It requires a revelation from the Lord to show him it has already been done, and by Whom.

"It is finished"

I wish that christians could understand what the Sabbath is but it isn't something you learn from a book or a classroom.....or any church.

True. The reason being that Christ is our Sabbath, and you can't learn Christ.

He must reveal Himself.

actually your reply posts makes my point...but there's no way you could know it.

Peace!

I'm really not going to argue about it anymore. Bless you, brother. :24:

Deuteronomy 12

Deuteronomy is the book Jesus quoted most from in the NT. The name Deuteronomy means "second law" There is a lot to gather from this book and I wont interpret, only highlight some key verses.

1"These are the statutes and judgments which you shall be careful to observe in the land which the LORD God of your fathers is giving you to possess, all the days that you live on the earth. 2You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations which you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. 3And you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and burn their wooden images with fire; you shall cut down the carved images of their gods and destroy their names from that place. 4You shall not worship the LORD your God with such things.

5"But you shall seek the place where the LORD your God chooses, out of all your tribes, to put His name for His dwelling place; and there you shall go. 6There you shall take your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the heave offerings of your hand, your vowed offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks. 7And there you shall eat before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice in all to which you have put your hand, you and your households, in which the LORD your God has blessed you.

8"You shall not at all do as we are doing here today every man doing whatever is right in his own eyes 9for as yet you have not come to the rest and the inheritance which the LORD your God is giving you. 10But when you cross over the Jordan and dwell in the land which the LORD your God is giving you to inherit, and He gives you rest from all your enemies round about, so that you dwell in safety, 11then there will be the place where the LORD your God chooses to make His name abide. There you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the heave offerings of your hand, and all your choice offerings which you vow to the LORD. 12And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you and your sons and your daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levimte who is within your gates, since he has no portion nor inheritance with you. 13Take heed to yourself that you do not offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see; 14but in the place which the LORD chooses, in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.

15"However, you may slaughter and eat meat within all your gates, whatever your heart desires, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you; the unclean and the clean may eat of it, of the gazelle and the deer alike. 16Only you shall not eat the blood; you shall pour it on the earth like water. 17You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain or your new wine or your oil, of the firstborn of your herd or your flock, of any of your offerings which you vow, of your freewill offerings, or of the heave offering of your hand. 18But you must eat them before the LORD your God in the place which the LORD your God chooses, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, and the Levimte who is within your gates; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God in all to which you put your hands. 19Take heed to yourself that you do not forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land.

20"When the LORD your God enlarges your border as He has promised you, and you say, "Let me eat meat,' because you long to eat meat, you may eat as much meat as your heart desires. 21If the place where the LORD your God chooses to put His name is too far from you, then you may slaughter from your herd and from your flock which the LORD has given you, just as I have commanded you, and you may eat within your gates as much as your heart desires. 22Just as the gazelle and the deer are eaten, so you may eat them; the unclean and the clean alike may eat them.

23Only be sure that you do not eat the blood, for the blood is the life; you may not eat the life with the meat. 24You shall not eat it; you shall pour it on the earth like water. 25You shall not eat it, that it may go well with you and your children after you, when you do what is right in the sight of the LORD. 26Only the holy things which you have, and your vowed offerings, you shall take and go to the place which the LORD chooses. 27And you shall offer your burnt offerings, the meat and the blood, on the altar of the LORD your God; and the blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on the altar of the LORD your God, and you shall eat the meat. 28Observe and obey all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the sight of the LORD your God.

Beware of False Gods

29"When the LORD your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land, 30take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, "How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.' 31You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way; for every abomination to the LORD which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.

32"Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.

Shiloh,

You are confusing the New Jerusalem with the new earth.

No Wordsower, I am not. There is no New Earth and No new Jerusalem during the Millenium. Please read Revelation 21. The New Jerusalem does not come down until AFTER God has renewed Heaven and Earth.

The millenium will be a theocracy. It is the time when Messiah will rule the world from Jerusalem with a "rod of iron. The Sabbath will be reinstituted during that time, as will worship at the Temple, and the festivals. The Sabbath will be mandatory during that time for All FLESH, per Isaiah 66.

Revelation is not primarily in chronological order, but causal order.

The New Earth and New Heaven are Jewish symbology for our state in Christ; they have nothing to do with physicality.

The millenial reign is also another type for our victory in Christ.

The New Earth and Heaven and the millenial reign are therefore different ways of expressing essentially the same thing.

Now I see the problem.....

Whenever one starts spiritualizing what is meant to be literal, then they can make the Bible say whatever "they" want it to say.

There certainly is some metaphoric symbolism throughout the prophecies and literary writings....but whenever you make these statements about future events all being spiritual then you have applied a standard that is inconsistant with His first coming.

Did He "spiritually" die on a cross as the Prophets said He would? Did He "spiritually" come to the Earth the first time?

Is He only "spiritually" coming again?

This is incorrect. Evidentally, you do not believe in a literal New Heavens and Earth, or a literal millenium. Fortunately for the truth, they are not spiritualizations, nor are they symbolic, they are real things that will happen. Jesus will return back to earth in bodily form according to Acts chapter one, and will establish His kingdom on earth. That earthly kingdom will last for 1,000 years and after the final day, He will renew Heaven and Earth, and the New Jerusalem will descend from Heaven to Earth. If you believe THAT, the Bible gives no indication that this is symbolic. If it did, then it would immediately provide the literal meaning behind the symbolism.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
