By HIS Stripes We Are HEALED

Hi:

The bible states that "BY HIS STRIPES, WE ARE HEALED", What are we healed from? So many people need physical healing of some sort, and others need mind healing. Unless this means when we ask Jesus to come into our lives, we are healed from going to hell? Reality is that I have much pain and anger that needs healing and deliverance.

You can be healed from any physical and mental desease and condition know and unknown to mankind.

Why are few healed, lack of faith normally. More are healed in third world countries because they are not smart enough to know they can't be healed, and they actually accept and beleive it.

I have seen all sortsof healings from so many things.

God is wonderful.

I take issue with the "not smart enough" portion here. Many that are poor have no other resource to try first, they are dependent on God healing them or they stay sick. Poverty and lack of smarts are not the same thing.

(Mat 6:33 KJV) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Far too many of us seek the Lord as a last resort, not understanding that all health comes from Him. He still heals those that seek him later that don't really know any better, but I think a lot of healing doesn't occur among wealthy Christians because they know to seek the Lord but having resources allows them to run to the doctor with every little ache, and only when that fails do they remember to ask God for healing and God is not very impressed with being the last possible source for help, He should be first always and in all things.

(Mark 5:25 KJV) And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

(Mark 5:26 KJV) And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

(Mark 5:27 KJV) When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

(Mark 5:28 KJV) For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

(Mark 5:29 KJV) And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

This woman had suffered many things of many physicians and they got all her money and she was in worse shape (things don't change all that much over the years, do they?). She trusted and was healed, but the twelve years and the money were still gone. My point? Seek the Lord first, during, and even in good health, take time for the Lord, and only as He directs take the doctor's advice.

I believe Jesus still heals today the same as we see Him healing folks in the gospels.

I had a hip healed and leg lengthened about 30 years ago...before anybody told me He did not do this any more.

I also saw, with my eyes a healing of a child who had swollen glands in the neck. When prayer was given and hands laid on the child's neck the swelling completely disappeared.

This happened "by chance"... both my healing and the child's when I was visiting a Christian book store.

Jesus went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing "every" disease sickness among the people.

...and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon- possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them. Mt. 4:23-25

I have had years of emotional healing as well...

I think Isaiah 61:1 fits for emotional healing...binding up the broken hearted. Also

to me, emotional healing comes in with creating a pure heart and renewing a stedfast spirit. Ps. 51:1

I think there is a lot of truth in what you say AT...the Lord is closing about every other door for healing except Himself for me these days...and He keeps enlarging my heart to look to Him and nowhere else. But...He is doing the work and He is the Husbandman of my soul...I would fall flat on my face in this alone and I'm still being formed into something I don't quite understand. :P

I don't say much about deliverance because I'm not an expert on that and it is so controversial a subject in the church...but if you need it He will provide for you at the appropriate time...in a way that you can receive it...I think that because: the Lord sets prisoners free...Psalm 146:7 He wants us free from the guilt, power and effects of sin...we are not to be slaves to sin anymore. Ro. 6

"My" anger issues had a lot to due with very painful things that happened to me as a child...everything got suppressed...and I was very depressed. Do you know why you are angry? Can you tell the Lord about it or a trusted person? Your healing may come that way.

Most of my healing has come the hard way...trying to work out my salvation n fear and trembling...I had to learn to put off the old man and put on the new. "I'm" a slow learner :P ...but I can remember my very first lesson...it was learning how to submit to authority...what a "lesson"...I'm still learning it and there is a peaceable fruit that is beginning to form in my heart.

Hope this helps. :b:

Matt 8:17

17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

(KJV)

This tells us that Jesus bare all our sicknesses so they are over, and by His stripes we are healed. Every negative is the direct or indirect result of sins, and Jesus took it all on Himself. He suffered every pain of every ilness known to us. There is so much depth in what He accomplished for us on that cross.

ISAIAH 53

BY HIS STRIPES I AM HEALED

Can all be healed by CONFESSING out loud God's word and apprehend their healing by FAITH?

Further, if healing were in the Atonement, then why did Christ give the Apostles gifts of healing in Matthew 10? Why not preach the Atonement which would include healing?

What are you talking about?

The miracles of all kinds including the healings are the signs of the truth of the gospel as stated in Mark the 16th. The whole of Christs healing for us includes our physical, spiritual, feelings, and emotions. We need no longer feel guilty because we have been pardoned, it's over. We are now free to start new. Having received the return to the freewill to choose who we will serve, set free from satans lordship.

Can all be healed by CONFESSING out loud God's word and apprehend their healing by FAITH?

You know, I don't know if this is true. Some churches believe that is the way to go. Personally, I'm not being led that way...I keep asking the Lord for a language of faith and He keeps healing all sorts of "other" things. He pointed "me" to Ro. 8:38

I'm not of the "Name it and Claim it" group...but that kind of talk may work for someone.

Yet, the Lord seemed pleased with people who displayed faith...there has to be something to that.

Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment. Mt.9:22

I just believe that the Lord cares if we are sick or afflicted and He is still moved with compassion for all kinds of situations...we are just to keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking in prayer. It changes a person to do just that.

I also do believe that we will not see every sickness healed...as was said somewhere angel's in post...our perfect "bodies" are yet to be given to us. But it never hurts to ask nor is it wrong in my view to ask and seek the Lord for physical healing.

This probably shows my limited level at Bible study...but this is where I am today.

In His love and peace, Shirley :21:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
