2Timothy 3:16 tells us that

"All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness"

In this we know that the bible is the inerrant word of God. There are several verses that tell us Jesus is Lord. Here is Jesus praising someone who calls Him God.

John 20:28-29 And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God! Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen Me you have believed. Blessed are they who have not seen and have believed.

John 10:29-31 My Father who gave them to me is greater than all, and no one is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand. I and the Father are one! Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him.

They wanted to stone Him for what they perceived as blasphemy, saying that He is God.

John 8:23-24 And He said to them, You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. Therefore I said to you that you shall die in your sins, for if you do not believe that I AM, you shall die in your sins.

This is how we are saved, from 1 John, a letter written by the apostle John, who knew Jesus well.

1Jo 3:23 And this is His commandment, that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

1Jo 4:15 Whoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him and he in God.

1Jo 5:10-13 He who believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself. He who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he does not believe the record that God gave of His Son. And this is the record, that God has given to us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I have written these things to you who believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have everlasting life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Jo 5:20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and He has given us an understanding so that we may know Him who is true. And we are in Him that is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and the everlasting life.

This is how to be saved:

Romans 10:9 Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.

Islamic faith does not save. The islamic Isa (Jesus) doesnt save. The Christian Jesus saves, plain and simple. The Jesus sent here by God, to die for our sins. The flawless fully man and fully God Jesus. Jesus saves. I hope you will get to know the Jesus we know, so that you can also know God's forgiveness of sins.

2Timothy 3:16 tells us that

"All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness"

According to this verse, people can change the Scriptures and through this it will be corrupted.

How can God send us a scripture and then say we're allowed to change it?

It makes no sense at all

No, no... What this verse is saying is that the Scriptures are profitable for doctrine, for reproof (cesnure for a fault on the part of the person being reproved), for correction (not correction or alteration of the Scriptures, but rather correction of someone in error), and then for instruction in righteousness.

He is not talking about changing the Scriptures, but rather changing those who live crosswise with the Scriptures.

Ok I understand what it says now, I looked it up the Bible that I have and it made more sene, but what about the other verse?

And what about the concept of everyone being saved, whether they deserved it or not?

Nazim,

I will deal with one thing at a time. It is less confusing and the posts are less time consuming.

As to people being saved whether they deserve it or not:

No one deserves to be saved. God does not save us because we are good. He saves us because He is good. All of us deserve to die in our sin. We do not deserve the grace and favor of the Lord. The good news is that God has, through Jesus, has provided a way of salvation for everyone. It is independent of how good you are. Salvation is a gift. "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) We deserve death but God offers us something else. He has out of His immeasurable Love for mankind provided a gift of eternal life. All we have to do is reach out and take it. It is free for the asking.

Eternal life cannot be found in any other place.

1Jo 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

1Jo 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life: and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

1Jo 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Jesus real Hebrew Name is Yeshua. Yeshua means "salvation." Salvation is wrapped up in Him. Salvation is based upon His goodness, His sinfulness.

Perhaps I can illustrate it this way: Imagine that I am a teacher in a history class, and you are one of my students. I have only one test that you must take to pass my class. The catch is that you have to get EVERY answer correct, or else you fail. If you miss even one question, you fail the course. Now let's say I give you a choice. You can either take the test, and thus, take your chances, or I will give you MY grade. If you want, I will give you my perfect grade, and you pass the course. So what would your choice be? In a real world you would gladly take my grade since the margin for error is absolute zero.

God's margin for error is zero. He has no tolerance for sin. Now, we can try to "pass the test" ourselves, and try to live a sinless life, or we can just accept the gift that Christ has already provided. Christ passed the test. He got every answer right. He lived a sinless life and satisfied God's justice on the cross. He bought your salvation for you, and all you have to do is reach out and take it. It is really that simple.

None of us can pass the test Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

God does not want to leave us in that condition. Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

It salvation is something that we cannot get by what we do, or how good we are.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith, and this not of yourselves. Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Eph. 2:8-9)
God does not want anyone to think that it was anything they did that merited salvation.

We all stand as equals before God. He is no respecter of persons regardless of rank or position. So there is nothing in Scripture to suggest that God considers anyone deserving of salvation.

It has been said that the Grace of God is unmerited favor. I would say it a bit differently. I would say that grace is God's favor showered upon those who merit God's utter disfavor. That includes everyone.

Then the Bible is contradicting itself. If the Bible is Gods Word, it must be perfect, but it isnt.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

The bible does not contradict itself, nor is it in error. You have taken your verses out of context. Although the bible is free of error, humanity is not.

I will add more regarding your posts in a bit. I am interested in a discussion with you about the Lord Jesus.

Hello Nazim welcome to our boards

I will deal with one of your scriptural points.

Luke 18

18 Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" 19So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.

Now we must ask ourselves did the ruler know that Jesus was the Messiah the only begotten son of God ?

Answer: No of course the ruler did not know the true nature of Jesus when he looked at Jesus in his mind he was looking and listening to a teacher a rabioni.

So when he said "Good Teacher" he was calling a man Good because he never knew whom Jesus really was. That

According to Christianity, even if you do evil in this world you will be saved as long as you believe in Jesus, but this doesnt make sense and its not fair for people who have been good, yet there are those who cause corruption throughout the Earth who still get to be saved?

Wheres the logic in that?

Logic?

The bible explains it too in this passage from 1 Corinthians 1:18-24

For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those being lost, but to us being saved, it is the power of God.

For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will set aside the understanding of the perceiving ones."

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the lawyer of this world? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom did not know God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe.

For the Jews ask for a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom;

but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness.

But to them, the called-out ones, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Jesus explains that quite well in this parable from Matthew 20:1-16. The parable basically says that no matter when you accept His gift of salvation, whether when you are 12 yrs old or 80 yrs old, everyone gets the same gift. Praise the Lord for His mercy and grace.

For the kingdom of Heaven is like a man, a housemaster, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers into his vineyard.

And when he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the marketplace.

And he said to them, You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you. And they went.

And he went out about the sixth and ninth hour and did likewise.

And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said to them, Why do you stand here all day idle?

They said to him, Because no one has hired us. He said to them, You also go into the vineyard, and you shall receive whatever is right.

So when evening had come, the lord of the vineyard said to his steward, Call the laborers and pay them their wage, beginning from the last to the first.

And when they who were hired about the eleventh hour came, they each one received a denarius.

But when the first came, they supposed that they would received more; and they also each one received a denarius.

And receiving it they murmured against the master of the house,

saying, These last have worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden and heat of the day.

But he answered one of them and said, Friend, I do you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius?

Take yours, and go; I will give to this last one the same as to you.

Is it not lawful for me to do what I want with my own? Is your eye evil because I am good?

So the last shall be first, and the first last, for many are called, but few are chosen.

Could you explain to me the concept that anyone can be saved as long as they believe in Jesus even if they do evil?

The Lord tells us not to do evil, but to live lives pleasing to God. We are to love the Lord with all our heart, mind and soul. We are also to love our neighbor as ourselves. How then can we do evil? The Lord is just. He forgives us all our sins, yet He also wants us to stop sinning. With His Holy Spirit in us, guiding us, teaching us God's will, we are not to do evil.

Is 'LOVE' one of the thousand names of Allah?

You know it is NOT! To me this is quite sad.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
