Regardless of what country you're in, this is coming to a dishwasher, t.v. or whatever near you.  Or it may already be there.  :happyhappy:

I expect something like this to be firmly in place in time for the era of the Beast.

Hooking up appliances to the internet seems a bit odd.

Hooking up appliances to the internet seems a bit odd.

Not if you happen to run a large operation, such as the HVAC for a large building. The big chiller plants like that have had the capability for years in some cases. The manufacturer or service center can monitor the equipment remotely and an alert if a problem develops. This is quite important, especially if you are running the HVAC for, say, a big datacenter for a bank, etc.

The idea of ordinary household appliances being internet connected, though, is a bit odd - unless the dishwasher can load itself . . . :whistling:

Something else comes to mind also: Maybe its time to ask ourselves just how much of that kind of technology we need in our homes.

This is sort of scary since we are in the process of getting an insulin pump for my son.

So that would not involve the average small household......for now anyway.

Maybe the idea of having appliances interconnected, is to allow for coorinating their use with each other and with low demand times for limited electricity production etc, saving resources and money, and making your home more efficient? IDK
