I have not mentioned what I have seen to anyone...and I don't want to.

(snip)

it seems each family is so busy with their own little world, that

the bigger picture, the shocking bigger picture, does not get the attention it should get.

If you do not mention what you saw about that old friends kids facebook pages, then arent you being "so busy in your own little world" instead of helping?

As for miley, the hardest part of what happened on that awards show is that her mother was proud of her. How could miley know better when her own mother supports that kind of behavior?

For anyone reading, I pm'ed Jade to expalin why I said nothing.  It is  a private matter.  Thanks for understanding

hey, you have to remember that it was her mother and father who consented for her to do a nude photo shoot when she was 15 years old. (so what if she covered intimate parts of her body with a sheet? the photographer saw all... her parents were pimping her out for money and fame.) i have no use for miley. i have less use for her parents. i am ashamed to say that i sit high and lofty in my judgment of them, and i pray that God will not only forgive me for that, but that He will help me learn to be less judgmental and more prayerful of others deviances.

Yes... I remember.  And in the case I wrote of, it is the mother who has allowed things and basically lit into the father if he tried to do anything...now, it's all too late unless God intervenes

They've had some massive fights in that family that got physical between the parents and I saw some of the damage the wife did to the husband.  The husband has not touched his wife

but he has destroyed property in his anger

Yeah, I know a lot of Christians with anger problems, and I know a lot of Christians with marital problems.

christians need to be more careful about walking the walk. there will be a lot of folks trying to get into heaven who say 'but lord!!!!" and He's going to say "get away from me, i never knew you." i don't know if the family is truly christian or not. it's not my place to judge. but for many years, they haven't born any fruit. i haven't seen or heard any of the stuff about the family fights and the abuse from the wife, but frankly, i have never seen anything upstanding in billy ray's character either. if he's a victim of domestic violence, he needs to get help. if they still have minor children at home that are affected by the abuse, he needs to get help for them. but i can't swallow the whole idea that he's an innocent victim of circumstance that has no responsibility in the exploitation of his daughter when she was younger.

LadyC...do you mean Miley's family is supposed to be Christian?  I don't follow that stuff and have been known to raise one eyebrow at some of the hollywood/nashville gang that are supposed

to be Christian

yeah...I don't think putting on a front is as vogue as it used to be...for different reasons.  Modern society has exacerbated the problem, but, you know, nothings new under the sun....

There is no such thing as a perfect marriage.,  It's work I'm afraid LOL!...so many trip over expectations.  As someone once said, the moment your expectations in another person

somehow involve what you believe will be their ability to complete or make you happy, then you are setting yourself up for failure (words to that effect..I didn't word it quite right)

If you set goals that involve another's participation in the way you think it should be ordered, you will be disappointed.  It can be hard to let another person just be themself.

Two different stories.

oh, ok, LOL. it's alright though. i went googling it, and i guess billy ray has even appeared on the 700 club, so i'm assuming he calls himself a christian. don't know how he reconciles his faith with his pride in his daughter's antics though!

oh?  who knew...hmmmm....I think that sometimes some hosts on 'Christian' TV shows like to display a famous person or two as if to say "Look!  You don't have to give up your life!  Look at this

person ~ all this and heaven too!"

My parents had some book in their library entitled "All This and Heaven Too" when I was growing up...and for some reason, that title stuck in my head and, weird though it may be, I think of it

when I see the kind of lifestyle that screams Hollywood or similar and then they try to tell everyone they are also a Christian.

Some are, some aren't...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
