Some of the churches are 1,000's of years old and the town is a tourist attraction for Christians around the world. The local coffees shop is run by and American woman with Syrian roots from Pennsylvania. El Qaeda is known for it's utter brutality when taking over towns like this, and the destruction of anything Christian. I pray most people got out, and I pray for those who could not. Once again, the regime is not the only enemy in Syria, they have just held a mass Christian prayer meeting in Damascus for peace, attended by hundreds of Christians. Who used chemical weapons and why the regime will be bombed, I do not know. I just know that we have brothers and sister in Christ who are being martyred in the true sense of the Word. Another reason why negotiation with militant Muslim terrorists is utterly futile. They are hell-bent on conquering the World, they despise Christians and Jews and they are thoroughly ruthless. Short of finding Jesus, there is no way that they can be reasoned with. Even when we believe that we have successfully reasoned with them, it is only a truce of convenience as far as they are concerned and it never lasts.
