Casting out demons

Back when I was working at Texas Instruments, my boss sent me to another site where I had to pick up some parts that we needed. After waiting a little while outside the stock door for the clerk to return with the parts, I felt something very large to my left (9 ft tall or so, somehow I could I feel its size) step up next to me and it touched the side of my head. At that moment, wicked thoughts began to flood my mind. Being a young Christian, I immediately panicked, but I did use th e name of Jesus and it left me. I found this more unusual than anything else because I was directly attacked during the day on my job. I was accustomed to attacks in the night, but this was definitely out of the norm. Just by that experience, it was obvious to me that it is possible demons can get inside of you even if you are a believer.

Yes evil spirits can enter into christians. God has blessed me to use me to cast some out of my wife, after I had been delivered of some myself. And then later in our Christian walk at YWAM we were both delivered of some. Haven't knowlingly had any other for a long time, but I know there is the possibility, and stay on my guard. God has given us power over them all, but we by the choices we make can leave a door for them to enter in and do their best to drag us away from God. That's why the full armor of God is so important to us. satan is very subtle in his work, and can actually make us think he is God.

My dad has just stopped drinking, he's been clean for two weeks. I'm a strong believer, and so is my dad. A couple months ago, he had gotten drunk. This was in the middle of the night, my guess, eh, maybe 3:00 AM on a Saturday. He was screaming and yelling, nothing unusual since that's what he does when he's drunk. Well, this particular night was diffrent. I was sleeping, my dad was drunk, and I can sleep through it. Well, my sister and I were sleeping, mind you, I'm 15 and my sister is 16. Well, there we are sleeping, minding our own business, when our door creaks open, I didn't notice it at first, but someone had snuck into our room and started whispering, at first it was quiet, but it got louder, I finally woke up, and I looked down. I'm on the top bunk and my sister is on the bottom. So I looked down, and there was my dad laying on our floor in his...undergarments. Slowly I laid back down on my bed and covered myself with my blanket. If you want to know what he was saying, he was saying, "Jamie, I'm going to kill you, and your sister, and your mom, and everyone in this house..." He kept repeating this over and over. Now, by now I'm terrified because I'm Jamie, he was talking straight to me. I have no idea whatsoever what my sister was doing at this moment, but she was being really, quiet, I actually thought she was dead, you couldn't even hear her breathing. I was trembling under my blanket and I laid there and started silently praying that it would all end, after about ten minutes, it finally did. My dad walked out of the room and fell in his bed. The scariest part about this whole thing was my dad's voice had changed, it didn't sound like him at all. His voice was deeper and raspier. After the whole fiasco ended, I bent over my bed and whispered my sister's name over and over, I guess she was being awfully quiet and she was pretty scared because she answered me and her voice was shaking. I told her that dad had been possessed and that's what had happened, but Amber didn't believe me. Now Amber isn't a Christian, so of course she probably wouldn't believe me. But I had to try to convince her. It didn't work, after we both had stated our argument about what had happened, we both went back to sleep. I was crying and I grabbed one of my Teddy Bears and squeezed it all night, scared that my dad would come back in, thank God he didn't. And of course, he didn't remember a thing the next day.

Yes, I believe that a strong believer can get possessed, I actually believe that they're the main target. Satan wants strong believers to fall back and not get back up, that's why they're targeted. I just thought I'd share this, because this is an example. My dad is going through Spiritual Warfare himself. He wants his beer and his tempted to buy it, but he's fighting, and fighting hard.

I do not believe a person has to be possessed in order for a demon to have control over them. If a person has not Christ, then they are susseptible to demon control, for they have not surrendered the control of their lives to God.

there are many spirits out there, and there are many types of spirits..... their main objective is to keep each and every person from God, to separate us from our Creator..... some times it is not a difficult jub for them, other times they have a heavy task before them.

If a person is ground in the Word, and uses the Word to resist these spirits, the spirits will tend to leave you alone..... directly...... they will try to get you indirectly, such as hitting a family member, or a friend, one that might be weaker then you. the demons will go after the weakest in the house hold, and work on them, causing doubt and other types of infirmities.....

something to think about, is the church building is not totally off limits to satan and his demons.... they are more apt to be sitting next to you during a service then in a crack house or bar or other places such as these during services... why? cause they dont got them souls they want to keep others from turning towards Christ, they want others to turn away from Christ, so they are sitting right next to you, whispering in your ear, playing on your weakness..... they remind you that you wanted to see the football game that starts in 30 minutes, and the alter call has not taken place yet, letting you know that you dont have to help with the alters, you dont have to pray with some one in need, you dont have to go up and spend time with God, you are already saved, let some one else take care of that poor soul, they can do a better job anyways....

these demons do not have to possess you to have you doing their work, they can use many things. even at work they can get you to stumble and even do as Peter did and deny the Lord.....

a lunch time conversation:

" Hey Joe, whacha doin', Prayin'?" " no Fred, just resting my eyes.." " Oh Sorry, thought you was prayin'." *thinking to self* (Gee, i thought Joe was a Christian, was going to ask him to help me pray)....

who knows, Fred might be under the influence of familure spirits..... and you may have been the only one he knew of to help bail him out, these spirits are not doing new things, they are continuing to use the same ol' tricks and lies, why should they change, they work so well.......

an unsaved loved one is an easy target for them to attack you by..... a young girl makes a mistake, and finds that she is expecting, she wants to keep the baby, even thou she is not a Christian, she feels that it is wrong to abort it, to kill it, but, being she is a minor by the law, mom has been working on her to abort it.... the main argument is that they dont have enough money to raise is....... mom is keeping this whole ordeal as quiet as she can for there are family members that would come to the rescue of the minor girl, family members that are Christian, that are praying for their unsaved family. The word slips out thru a channel and family members are trying to contact the mother, and the daughter to let them know they will fund the raising of the child.... but mother is not letting any one talk to the daughter, and then the child is no longer on this earth, the girl, heart broken, mother? umm pleased. the anti-doctor? more money in his pocket......

one couple wanted to make an offer to the girl and the mother, that they would take care of the child ( not adopt ) but as legal guardians over the child, for as long as the girl needed for some one to help with it and with the understanding that the girl IS THE MOTHER.... but by the time anyone could get to the girl, the mother had already talked her into going to the clinic....

this is a spirit that attacked a family by using one mistake and kept building on it, for the rest of the family, they are really saddened, the pain, the separation, the guilt was felt by one person who was really saddened by it half way across the country.... this person was crying for the loss of the child last night, for the loss the girl felt, for the uncaring acts and attitude of a mother towards the daughter, not carring what the daughter wanted or her grandchild.......

these spirits even touch those that are not associated with the person being attacked and the loss can be felt.

we are in constant spiritual battle, if you are not fighting this spiritual battle, then you have already been taken captive.....

we must remain in constant prayer, in constant fellowship with the Lord... we can not allow satan or his toadies to even have a chance at a foot hold, much less a strong hold.... the only way is to stay in prayer.... walk with God...... Know God, Know Gods Word..... the more you learn about God, the more God will reveal... the more God reveals, the more you get to know God.... the more you get to know God the more you want to know, the more you want to know the more you seek the more you seek the more you get and round and round..... building you stronger and stronger......

stay in prayer, stay with God.....

just stay in prayer..... every spare moment, pray for some one on your list, your prayer list.

I know of a 3 year old that prays with out mom and dad even prompting her, and she prays for some people out of the blue. her mother is amazed at some of the people she prays for, and her prayers are being answered..... if a three year old is praying on her own, and for people that are not even in her family, and her prayers are being answered. I think it is time that we all prepare ourselves for battle and start praying with total, unconditional, trust and faith, just as this child.

I know a couple of the people that this child has been praying for, and they are being touched by God because of this childs prayers......

KNEEOLOGY WILL DO A LOT MORE GOOD FOR THE SPIRIT THEN THEOLOGY.

Well.....I think that a person who is 'Rebellious' can bring forth an evil spirit from hell (you have to understand that Lucifer waits around for opportunities such as this to "Work" and, to drive the Rebellious flesh to a path of destruction) and unless that person is delivered from the (spirits/demons/former angels) they will "literally" have "demonic" moments...(if not always"without cease"....having demonic moments...where they find themselves in the mental ward.)

Can I ask a rather self focused question here?

I suffer from depression and have at a few times, considered taking my own life. I was told my my Mental Health workers that the depression stems from a violent upbringing (guns, beatings etc) sexual abuse as a 2 year old child, my brother trying to strangle me to kill me when I was 16 years old and other events in my life that 'they' (Mental Health workers) said I hadn't dealt with properly. Do I suffer from demon possession or is depression a result of unresolved issues in my life and the lives of others?
