I just wonder if it's me or if anyone else has found themselves lately falling absolutely madly in love with Jesus?

Oh, I know we don't build our faith on Christ. I've been a believer too long to know better. I've had droughts and dry spells and time when I felt "Why hast thou foresaken me?!" and all that stuff.

Been there. Done that. Travelled that road many times.

But has anyone lately felt an absolutely OVERWHELMING, mindnumbing, incredible presence, intensitely, intimacy, warmth, glow and utter passion that just can't be explained lately?

Have you felt yourself sit down to pray and for some odd reason what started out to be a normal quiet time to pray ended up a prayer of weeping and prayerful intercession, sometimes for absolutely strangers?

Have you felt this bizarre compulsion to pray for foreign leaders or strangers you DON'T EVEN KNOW?! and you pray as if they were your own kin?

Have you felt like you could taste the very salt in God's tears?

Has anyone felt an almost electric power flow through their bodies when they pray?

Have you felt or sensed God using you as a conduit of compassion for hurting people you didn't even really know?

Have you felt God's overwhelming compassion for your own life?

Have you felt your own heart softening like butter for hardened persons?

Have you sensed something strange and different happening to you lately?

Just wondering or maybe I'm losing my mind....

***I suppose if nobody responds, I better see the doc and ask for some Prozac or Valium or something....I'm ready for the men in white coats....

CAN ANYBODY TELL ME IN SIMPLE TERMS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT?

I don't mean being saved or the experience we have when first saved.... but years later, does something happen that's hard to put into mere words?

Feedback appreciated.

Have you felt or sensed God using you as a conduit of compassion for hurting people you didn't even really know?

There has been a specail friend of which has been made within my life. A man not much older than myself of which is still but a stranger to me that has been exchanging letters back and forth with myself. This young man has made many a mistake in his life which has put him in a place not many of us would desire to be. However, within him has come to be seen a tremendous amount of love for Christ. One could say that we are very firm supporters of one another in our own personal walks of faith in Christ.

Have you felt God's overwhelming compassion for your own life?

This holiday season, especailly within moments/times of doubt God has proven himself not only extremely compassionate but also shown just how much of a loving Father He truly is. With the family being so tight for money during Thanksgiving, He blessed us with not one, but TWO turkeys. That truly was oa blessing! Also in times of need as well as those of which anxiety has overwhelmed He has been there to offer gentle reminders so as to remind me not only that He is there, but that He is ever faithful and watching.

Have you felt your own heart softening like butter for hardened persons?

In the past mistakes have been made upon my account and friends have been lost because of this. However even with the sincerest appologies, hearts are not always readily softened. Unfortunately this was the case with myself and this friend. Since then attempts have been made to mend such a friendship even though hatred, sadly has been the only reply. As of now all that is given is silent prayer in hopes that one day the hardened heart of a beautiful person will one day come to be softened.

Your mind is not something of which is being lost, more or less the desire to know of others experiences or how God works with others is truly a fascinating thing.

Awesome post! My appologies for not sharing more.

With Love In Christ,

Danielle

I don't mean being saved or the experience we have when first saved.... but years later, does something happen that's hard to put into mere words?

I have probably travelled the same roads and got my T-shirt from the same store you got yours Cat...but what I can truely say about the presence of the Holy Ghost now is....deep lasting Joy.

The presence of G-d in me constantly bubbles up and many times I am overwhelmed by the sheer knowledge that He loves me and that I am a very blessed man. Above all I have a deep inner joy and peace that stems from knowing beyond any doubt that Jesus has forgiven me all my sins and saved me and that I cannot help but share with other people that Jesus is alive.

Sometimes I have many tears and intense deep feelings of anguish prompted by the directing of the Holy Ghost...at other times I am totally overwhelmed with the joyfulness of His lovely presence and am reminded of those words from some song..."I keep falling in love with Him over and over again..."

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Joh 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Joh 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

Joh 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Hi cats

I cannot say that we all have the same feelings or intensity of feelings at the same level all the time. i only know that i am emotionally a different now then the person i was before i came to accept Jesus.

Before i would not be moved by pictures of suffering people on TV. well i was moved when i was a kid. but by the time i was a teen i had hardened my heart to much of that. Now i am totally different when i see people suffering my heart goes out to them. when i read some posts on here tears well up in my eyes and i call out to my Father to help them though their troubles. When i see someone being mean to another person i feel the pain myself.

I suppose that i had suppressed my conscience to a large extent before i came to accept Jesus, but after i accepted Jesus the Holy Spirit seemed to regenerate that long suppressed voice inside, i like to think of it as a super conscience. Giving conviction, expanding compassion, building courage and meekness at the same time. :)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
