That is true.  And note how when a country turns away from God, that all these other false religions flood in.   Be they islam, buddhism, or spiritism.   They don't want God yet they recieve the lies.

I think I said this before on another post, that if you reject God you either accept no god and believe that you are god by making your own moral codes, or you fall prey to false gods such as Buddhism, New Age Paganism, or the most devilish of all Islam.

We see this with Atheists and secular humanists who believe that man can become God, or with the thousands of idiots who convert to Islam every day. The thing is, Islam will eventually devour all the others.

Only by faith in Jesus Christ can you be saved from this mess, and only faith in Jesus Christ will prevent you from being blind to the truth. Remember that Jesus said "the Truth will set you free."

Amen!

I think that this also applies to non-believers who haven't found Jesus yet. There are a number of them who can still recognise the lies, which makes me think that they are about to find God soon enough. I hope I am right.

I know of an Atheist who despite being unable to see the truth was always able to spot the lies. Sure enough, he eventually found Jesus and therefore is no longer an Atheist. I believe that if your heart is not hardened God doesn't stop you from grasping the truth or from spotting the lies - sometimes it just takes time.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the nonbelievers would all of a sudden have an epiphany and come to the Lord?

I'm hoping that they might. God has a few tricks up his sleeve.

Have you ever wondered why the Apostle Paul was such a key figure in Bible history? He wasn't one of the twelve disciples, in fact he was a non-believer - worse, he was a persecutor.

God is showing us that anybody can come to him and serve him.

Don't be surprised to see some of the worst persecutors and mockers come to Jesus. Imagine if somebody like Richard Dawkins became a believer? What a great servant he might be. Some of the most hardened non-believers can become the greatest of witnesses. Dawkins would be more than a match for his Atheist critics because he knows how they think.

I've heard stories of Shia Imams finding Jesus - not just ordinary Muslims but fire-breathing clerics. They make the bravest of preachers. They are fearless defenders of the Christian faith because when they were Muslims they weren't afraid to die as 'martyrs' and grew-up with the violence of Islamic life. Now that they have Jesus they still have those devoted and fearless qualities and they become Christian pastors and are the only pastors that are not afraid to take their Bibles into the darkest and most dangerous of Muslim areas and preach the word of the Lord, despite risking their lives every time that they do so.

Satan will not have the last laugh. Expect to see some unlikely conversions in your lifetime. We know how the angels rejoice every time one soul is saved, imagine the amount of cheering that goes on when the most unexpected of sinners finds God. It can happen and it does happen.

Does anyone in here recall the movie....Fahrenheit 451?  (paper ignites into flames at 451 degrees)  It was about the government in the future burning ALL books.  Well those folks merely memorized a particular book and then shared it with others at secret meetings.  Christians have almost accomplished much of the memorization in part already.  We would just need to find who memorized what verse or versus and then put them all together.  :lightbulb2:

As long as infiltrators are not amongst our ranks. Oral traditions have a record of failure.

OakWood you have a point there. At first I thought that perhaps during the tribulation we could identify the non Christians by them sporting the mark.  But of course, not having the mark does not make you a Christian.  If we leave it up to our own devices then failure is just an infiltrator away.  The Lord will find a way for His word to live on just as He has done before.

Awful, almost unwatchable movie; great book.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
