I do my own self-study in the scriptures. I can't depend on Shepherds. You can't find two who agree with each other so who is there to beleive?

Study for oneself.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Hebrews 10:25 - Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

John 14:26 - But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 2:27 - But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him

Hebrews 1:7 - And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

Romans

ch1

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

sorry if I use way too much scripture and it takes up so much room, but I live by the word and rest in it.

The Lord brought this study back to me today, as I read this:

Matthew 22:1 And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: 2 "The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, 3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. 4 Again, he sent out other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding." ' 5 But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. 6 And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. 7 But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8 Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. 9 Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.' 10 So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests. 11 But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. 12 So he said to him, 'Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?' And he was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' 14 For many are called, but few are chosen."

This parable is speakin of Israel rejecting Christ, (the one's invited to the wedding) and after Israel rejected the invatation, He (Jesus) sent his servants out into the highways and as many as you find, invite to the wedding, (the church age) the one who did not have a wedding garment, is a picture of a non believer who will he cast out.

The King is the Father,

The son: Jesus,

servants: Prophets,

The wedding: made one with Christ, eternal life.

Those orginally invited to the wedding feast: Israel (in that day)

The servants sent out to the highways: Apostles, Preachers, ect.

Those invited from the highways: all people Jew and Gentile.

The unworthy Guest, without a wedding garment: those who reject Christ

No one can sneak in, worm their way in, force their way in.  You will be recognized by the garment you are wearing.  Are you clothed in righteousness?  How does it happen?  If you are not, you will be cast out, because you will not have a word to speak!  It is not enough to be invited, you must be prepared, made ready for the wedding.  Get ready, be clothed, in garments of salvation!

Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Correct only those who have the wedding garment will remain,

If you are covered in filth, it will show in the end.  The church CANNOT sell herself and her righteous garments of Christ, lest she be judged:

I do not see how you make the church the man without the wedding garments, first this is speaking of individuals (man without wedding garment) and second the church is the one who attends the wedding. But it goes without saying that false religions, which are made up of individuals will stand individually.

Ezekiel 16:10 through 16:25 is Israel, it has nothing to do with the church.

13 No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." 14 Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. 15 And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God. 16 The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it. 17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail.

The Law and the prophets were until John the Baptist:

Hebrews|1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

Hebrews|1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by

I just would like to make one comment I heard Chuck Missler say in his commentary on Revelation about the seven churches and seven ages. In selecting these seven churches to send messages to, the LORD could have put them in any order what so ever and it wouldn

I agree that the seven churches represent seven eras, but there are several factors to consider when interpreting this scripture:

1. the church is made up of Individuals. (born again believers)

2. God deals with Individuals, Individually.

3. The body of believers are given leaders (first Apostles, then Pastors, teachers)

4. The body functions as a unit.

So then why is Jesus addressing a Church in a specific era, if churches are made up of the body of Christ?

I believe the answer lies in the fact that believers make up congregations, but a congregations can become apostate, meaning that they began as a group of believers, but through varies means, have become apostate,

there are many examples of a local church that have become dead. And I believe that Jesus was referring to them as individual entities and not as the church era (Laodicea), as a whole.

Some examples would be if a congregation loses a Pastor, that church body will most likely lose many of its believing members and gain religious members who don

"Yes, I believe so. I DO believe it is salvation...........TRUE salvation, that comes. We/the church, are no different today than it was then.........we think through all our spiritual activity, that we KNOW God/Jesus. We think that through all the BIG BEAUTIFUL BUILDINGS, and the way we look on the outside, that we must be Christians."

It is true that wealth is not a sign of spirituality, but there are dead churches among the rich, and the poor, although among the more affluent churches, I believe there is more temptation toward worldly possessions.

"The problem is, no one KNOWS HIS WORD, so how can they know HIM???? HE IS THE WORD! When the time comes, where His Word is revealed again, and hearts are pierced, then the refining is taking place."

First rule; never say; no one, there are many congregations throughout this nation which preach the gospel, there are many bible believing colleges training pastors, missionaries, and those dedicated to serving the Lord, and there are many who serve the Lord in their daily walk, who have no office, but witness, and do charitable acts. So please don

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
