Many people have falsely claimed to have visions and dreams and spread old wives tales.    And it is well to keep that in mind.  Prove all things!

I assure you this dream was very real and very personal too. I would have to be crazy to keep it to myself. - DRS81

Well, I won't judge you for having a dream that seemed real.

I had a rapture dream years ago.  I just began floating up above my body and knew it was the rapture.  I can't describe the wonderful feeling.  It was like nothing I had ever experienced before or since, and I remember calling out to Jesus during this incredibly spiritual high (for no better way of describing it).  I was very disappointed when I woke up and the rapture hadn't really occurred and I had to face another day of the same old routine.

I know there are many who don't believe in the rapture, and there are scriptural reasons to believe either way on this subject, but I believe there will be one.  I also believe it is only for those who are watching and waiting and keeping their lives pure to the best of their ability at the time he returns.  It will be those who keep oil in their lamps that will be part of the rapture, and many who are professing Christians will miss it.  Jesus could return any day, so it is important to be ready.

i had a similar experence except i was awake. see i have always wanted to spend a day with Jesus i had it all planned out we would walk on the beach we would eat and drink foods and flavors that dont exist on earth we would talk and laugh and i would sit at his feet while he teaches me things no preacher or teacher on earth could.

i sat down in fron of my bed asking the lord if i can really have this when suddenly an angel appeared and said yes you can! and i was suddenly ascending. i didnt know about the rapture so i had no idea what this was but all i knew was i was going to jesus. like you the feeling was amazing i have never felt anything like it. to this day i have no idea what that feeling is or what its called

I too have had a similiar experience about the rapture taking place.    I was asleep and I had heard a loud noise and it woke me up from a dead sleep causing me to sit up in my bed.  As I sat up I was literally anticipating waiting and expecting my body to take flight.  But when I realized that it wasn't the rapture taking place I was actually upset I got mad about it not happening.  However I did know within myself that I was ready and listening for the trump of God to sound.  The things of this world don't even compare to what is awaiting the saints at his appearing.  The longing sometimes is hard for me wanting to put all the sufferings pertaining to this life aside once and for all.  I think that is why I was so upset that it didn't occur at the time.  Because so many times I get so weary and want to give it all up.  But there is peace and assurance in knowing that you are really ready to meet the Lord Jesus Christ.  This was not a dream but an experience that happened to me one morning. blessings

I just checked 1 Corinthians 13. It doesn't mean that prophecy will vanish forever. I believe what this means is that, once a prophecy is fulfilled, it becomes past and may not fulfill twice.

I just checked 1 Corinthians 13. It doesn't mean that prophecy will vanish forever. I believe what this means is that, once a prophecy is fulfilled, it becomes past and may not fulfill twice.

8 Love never fails:

but whether there be prophecies,

THEY SHALL BE DONE AWAY;

whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall be done away.

9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;

10 but when that which is perfect is come, [the completed Bible]

that which is in part [the prophetic gift] shall be done away.

Thou sayest: "once a prophecy is fulfilled, it becomes past and may not fulfill twice."

There is nothing about fulfillment here.

Prophecy ceased in the Church age.

The complete Bible has more of God's Word than we have time & intellect to grasp in a whole life time.

But we expect prophecy to be revived in the Tribulation.

"And it shall be in the last days, saith God,

    I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all flesh:

    And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,

    And your young men shall see visions,

    And your old men shall dream dreams:

18     Yea and on my  servants and on my  handmaidens in those days

    Will I pour forth of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy.

19     And I will show wonders in the heaven above,

    And signs on the earth beneath;

    Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke:"

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
