So I been trying to get out of Produce, for so long, and right now have no idea what Wal-mart considers me to be.   About a week and a half ago had a customer ask me if I were Produce, I honestly told her I don't know, but I was probably the closes person to it, so I helped her.

Will everybody on Overnights get treated like we do nothing by our 1st Shift.  But in Produce we have a 6 o'clock person who comes in, and if it ain't perfect and I mean perfect he will be on the war path,  They had the regular produce person their today (last night) who did the bananas, and than zone along with a couple of other jobs, and they wanted me to fill holes after I got done with the meat wall. So I had less than half a work shift to fill quit a bite, needless to say it wasn't done.  So he wanta to know who did the bananas, and I told him the new guy, cause he did and they look fine.  But he start having a fit about the boxes weren't token care of properly, and goes to chase down the other guy just to yell at him.  I know people can be difficult, and I have work with some difficult people, but he takes the case.  Thing is management know because of him we have had quit a few people quit, I would say at least 18 to 27 people in not quit 9 years.  The guy will yell at management and next thing I know the produce job just got that must harder.  He has even been know to yell per near all shift, and when I said yell I mean yell, he get to going and you can hear him clear across the store.

It really make me laugh when I hear Wal-mart talk about Respect for the individual when he has gotten away with so much; I have even seen several full grown women break down in tears and cry, after he has yelled at them.

Any advise would be appreciated.

lol aaaah yes. I remember my wal-mart days, and the constant war between day and night shift. I was a overnight stockman at my first Wal-Mart (ive worked 3)-and we were shortstaffed and overworked. Our day crew and night crew hated each other-the day crew was supposed to clean up the aisles and zone everything before they went home, but they wouldn't-leaving the night crew to do it, which put us behind in our work so we didn't get everything done, which got the day crew mad and we got in trouble. well, to get back at them when we were moving overstock pallets to the back we would shrink wrap them and put them up in the bins-we would shrink wrap fragile items to the outside of the pallet opposite where people could see it, so when the day shift went to bring the pallets down and cut the shrink wrap, the item would fall and break, causing the dayshift person to have to stop and take time out of their day to do the necessary paperwork, and it of course made them look bad. That was just one of many tricks.

I am of course not advocating such behavior, those were my younger days, but I bring it up as an example, this isn't out of norm for wal-mart or any job really. Your going to have your politics, and those people that you don't get along with. The second wal-mart I worked at, there was a support manager that hated my guts and tried on multiple occasions to get me fired. How I dealt with that was I outworked said support manager and got in the assistant managers good graces-I was in such good graces that I could get away with anything at night, and the support manager couldn't do a darn thing. I could stand around for 45 minutes and shoot the breeze with a co-worker, and nothing would happen to me-usually because I always got my department done, usually earlier then anyone else, and still found time to help other departments. It annoyed said support manager to no end, but like I said her boss-liked me so I was untouchable. They even tried to get me on the management track on multiple occasions, I turned them down each time.

As far as your specific situation, wal-mart has a open door policy, that in my experience almost no one ever takes advantage of. ever. People complain about the management never doing anything, but they never tell the management their problems. Most wal-marts run between 2-400 employees, it is virtually impossible for management to know whats going on with each and every one of them and whether theres a problem unless someone brings it up. You obviously have a day shift employee who has issues-(theres people like this at every job) that need dealt with. I suggest you take your concerns to management-use that open door policy. If its even a halfway decent management they will look into it. If not, then I would advise you and the new guy to just avoid said troublesome employee.

Yea, I have token this problem to management a few times already.  This person has had complains about how he treats other, by many others. beside myself.  A while back someone quit and told the management it was because of him.  The person who quit was trying to do his job, but this guy just jump all over him, for  2-4 hours, after which from what I understand he told management he quit.  One manager told this guy he could have gotten in trouble for this, to which he went around gloating what for he was worthless,

Many of us think that because he is retired military and he was a Sargeant Major in the Army so they won't touch him.   Which really bewilders my mind, because you can't do the stuff he doing now in the military and get away with it.

By the way Patriot, thanks for ideas of revenge, hopefully I don't actually use them.

I'd keep taking what he does to management.Eventually, they're going to get tired of hearing about it and do something.

Yes keep complaining to management. Perhaps stand up to the guy-politly as possible tell him to go take a hike. Some people just push to see how far they can.

With my experience going to management is not always going to help depending on your management.

that much is true bo, but on the same note I can think of a certain Bible story where a ruler finally gave the lady what she wanted because she wouldn't stop pestering him. And, if it does come down to a confrontation at least this way you can say hey, look I went to you how many times to resolve this and you did nothing. It at very least covers your back.

If this person is not a manager who has the authority to get you fired, I would go back into the gun section of the store and buy some good ear plugs.   When he goes on a rant just plug your ears in a manor where he notices and pay him no mind...  when he stops yelling take the ear plugs out and listen......       sooner or later he'll get the message.

If he is a manager, then it would have to be handled differently.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
