Some of you may have seen the thread I made about what to do when someone you're ministering to thinks God will reject him. Well God and I finally got him to pray! I feel great but now I it's time to get him to give his life to Christ. Where do I start?

I don't know of a cut and dry answer to that question Joe...      I think the Holy Spirit has to do that and usually for me it works out to just be a friend and talk a lot...  it always seems to find it's way into a conversation and when they are ready to receive it.   My personal experience is is they see you confident in your eternal future and enjoying this life, they will ask you.....   then you say what the Holy Spirit puts on your heart for none of us are the same and we all come from vast different backgrounds.

I agree with the above and would like to add that God's timing is perfect. Just be a friend for now but also be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit when he asks about the things of God. The opportunity will arise....

Bless you!

You don't start anywhere. You have planted the seed.Only God can change the heart. He will have to choose what to do with that information you gave him about God

Start with prayer. Your prayer. The most effective way to witness to anyone is to get prayed up yourself and ask for His help, His words, His guidance.

Blessings Joe

The Lord will show you the precise moment, give you the exact words at the appointed time......if in fact you are to be a part of this glorious occasion,we never know what will be .....just be prayed up & ready to be that open vessel if the Holy Spirit appoints you.......the Holy Spirit is in control of the complete process..................Glory be to God!

First, I was going to advise that he learn to pray for others. But that's no longer an issue. The issue with him now is salvation. I would say do everything to build up his trust in Christ. It's not an instant process, and encourage him on any and all aspects as he draws nearer to faith.

no one.....   not even Billy Graham can save anyone....   all you can do is plant ideas and let the Holy Spirit do his thing....

If you are going to pray for someone's salvation pray for the Holy Spirit to come to him and let him see.....     for that's the only way it's going to happen.

Guest DRS81

John 14:18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

Trust in that, and trust that God will change his heart.
