I think the Holy Spirit has to do that and usually for me it works out to just be a friend and talk a lot... it always seems to find it's way into a conversation and when they are ready to receive it. My personal experience is is they see you confident in your eternal future and enjoying this life, they will ask you..... then you say what the Holy Spirit puts on your heart for none of us are the same and we all come from vast different backgrounds. Just be a friend for now but also be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit when he asks about the things of God. The opportunity will arise.... Bless you! But that's no longer an issue. The issue with him now is salvation. I would say do everything to build up his trust in Christ. If you are going to pray for someone's salvation pray for the Holy Spirit to come to him and let him see..... for that's the only way it's going to happen.
